  1. But if you were Hispanic it would all be done for free! I blew-up at Robert Wood Johnson one day when taking my daughter in for surgery. They DEMANDED a credit card to cover the deductible which we knew nothing about until that day. I looked around at all the fucking illegals and asked who the fuck was paying for THEIR surgeries! Yeah, I was real popular that day, screw them! Democraps just handing out all of our tax dollars and we get shit upon, what a system! Good luck with your troubles.
  2. antdre20, take Rosey up on his offer, you will not regret it! One of the best natural shooters I have ever seen. I hate it when he out-shoots me with my own guns, just proves to me that the gun isn't the issue, it is ME! That's ok, I suck it up and listen to him to learn to do better. Go to one of his PPC events at OBRPC on a Friday Night at their indoor range, it is open to the public. You will learn a LOT from him, besides having a good time. If you don't have a gun yet, get in touch with him and let him know, he will bring some guns for you to use, just be a good guy and pay him for his ammo. I have met several shooters at OBRPC and CJ that I would certainly want to have standing beside if the shit ever hit the fan! My wife is one of them, don't piss her off, she shoots BETTER!
  3. Get in touch with Rosie @Smokin .50 if you can, you will not regret it!
  4. West Caldwell is in North Jersey, Old Bridge is in Central Jersey. People in my area of NJ say OB is in North Jersey, Caldwell would be considered New York! Yeah, they don't get it, but I understand them. OP, find someone with different types of guns that belongs to a range, or heck, you are very close to the range in Randolph on RT10, find someone to guest you in and try their guns. DON'T BUY ANYTHING YET!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those pesky permits take too long to get to waste them on something you may not like. I don't like MOST plastic guns, but a friend let me shoot two of his one day at OBRPC and I was shocked how well I did with one of them. It fit me perfect, I almost thought my friend was pulling the trigger, not me! He is a far better shooter than me yet I did excellent with his gun. I don't remember what brand or model, I would have to ask him, but it was a .40 Short and Weak (As Rosie loves to call that round!) If you could meet-up with Rosie (David Rosenthel) I would HIGHLY recommend it! He has a good assortment of guns and is an AWESOME teacher! You will be hard-pressed to find a better person to work with!
  5. I'm almost in total agreement with you......... If the OP wants new, and the budget allows, check out a S&W 686. If he doesn't mind used (which 90% of my guns were when I bought them) he will find a TON of S&W 686's for sale. I have 5 of them! Anyway, great first gun, get a few boxes of wadcutters, I have never had anyone complain about recoil with them. Semi wadcutters for a little more kick. .38 Special for a little bit more bang, and then .357 Magnum for something FUN! Shoot it in D/A to learn how to control the squeeze of the long trigger pull. Cock the hammer for S/A mode for the feel of the typical semi auto. I shot a Glock once, have no desire to do so again. To this day I have yet to buy a "plastic" gun, but have shot some that I did like, the Glock I shot was not one of them though. TO each their own.
  6. I have a Remington 1100 that I started out with when I first got into guns. One of the old timers at Citizens Rifle and Pistol Club told me about a clip that you put on the ejection port to stop the shells from flying out and possibly hitting the Fudds Kreighoffs! I bought one, just a few bucks, makes loading a shell in a little more difficult but works great! Only good for Trap really, but that's all that matters, no one standing close to you when shooting Sporting Clays.
  7. I have gone there during the day to shoot Skeet, my FFL ran the program at that time and I was his guest. It was fun, more challenging than Trap, I do them both. I prefer Sporting Clays over all other shotgun sports, but they are all fun! Try Knockdown Steel there or at OBRPC sometime, you can use a shotgun, I do carbine and shotgun, and I am beat-ass tired at the end of the day!
  8. Very nice, wanna see these twice!
  9. Bee-You-Tee-Full Wood, and no Viagra needed!

    50BMG ?

Great description! When I put a muzzle brake on my Saiga-12 it literally blew the hat off my head! The RO standing to the side of me had to strap his hat on tighter (we were doing Knockdown Steel at OBRPC).

    50BMG ?

There was a member at OBRPC that had a semi, let me and my buddy send some rounds down range one day, very soft shooter compared to my 7mm Magnum on a bench! Don't remember his name, not sure if he is on here or maybe someone on here knows him.
  12. Lets see the whole gun when you put it back together. I don't know what it is about double barreled shotguns. Over/Unders look sexy, Side by Sides look mean! I have a Browning O/U that I bought used, looked brand new in the box, and I love that gun! One of the few I will never sell.
  13. Did you look at Central Jersey (AKA Jackson) or Old Bridge R&PC? I prefer private ranges over any that allow the public to use, feel much safer at those types of ranges. Too many morons out there and the RO's can't be at each port.......... I have shot at both in the Lakewood area, but joined OBR&PC club and liked it there.
  14. Pictures of said guns please................
  15. Thanks! Quinton looks like what I want, and offer almost all the same programs as OBRPC. I am also thinking of joining Hutton Hill, it's closer and far less money, just a good basic place to take new shooters to if we don't want to drive down to Quinton. For $45 a year and not get in trouble with the local LEO for shooting on my own property it's a win! I'll also join Quinton for all the other events they do which I am interested in. Certainly a lot of clubs within a 30 mile radius of my new location!
  16. Moved to SJ right before the lockdown, want to join a local range. Anyone here a member of South Jersey Shooting Club (they are the closest to me), Cumberland Riflemen, Hutton Hill Rifle and Revolver, or Square Circle Shooting Club? I need a range that will allow me to bring guests, this is the best way to introduce people to our hobby. I looked at Teclo but they have a strict no-guest policy. Many of these clubs need to work on their websites, very little information on what they do. I belonged to OBRPC for years, they publicize every event they have there, so does Jackson.
  17. If they are wiling do give a fair price and not pennies on the dollar I would think about selling some, three safes and still not enough room!
  18. Can you post of picture of the stuff? I may want some but will take everything and find a new home or dumpster for the stuff I don't want.
  19. I have an Para in .45ACP, double stack which this state run by assholes made into a paperweight! I bought that gun for 15+1 for home defense, I chose not to neuter the mags and have not bothered to buy new mags for it. My sister has all my over 10 round mags until this state reverses that dumb ass law, if ever! My night stand gun is now my single stack SIg Sauer 1911 in .45ACP. I also have a Dan Wesson PM-9 which is a really pretty and very nice gun. A GSG 1911 for teaching newbies how to handle a 1911 but no kick with a .22. Also have an RIA 10mm which Rosie has used and out-shot me with my own gun!
  20. I have a 6" 617, my daughter loves that gun. Also have a speedloader setup for it which makes it much more fun to shoot. Have you shot a .44 Magnum? I have a 629, few people like to shoot it. Some will take all 6 shots, some pull the trigger once and hand it back to me. I bought it just because I collect S&W's. I'll shoot 6 rounds then put it away, everything else will feel like a .22 after that! I don't have a 9mm revolver, but do have a 10mm, S&W 610. I usually shoot .40 through it with moon clips.
  21. Still looking? I don't have a ton, but I have a lot!
  22. I had a friend at a local machine shop make me a set of spacers so my red dot would co-witness with the stock iron sights. Not sure if anyone is making something to "fix" this issue, mine came out great. Was my go-to Knockdown Steel gun before I left Central Jersey. Now it's my "plinker" down here in the sticks...........
  23. I have a 10 shot 617 with that same speedloader setup, it works really good! My daughter likes the gun, 6" barrel, no recoil, I don't think she will ever let me sell it. But if you buy a 617, look into that speedloader kit, it is well worth the money!
  24. I have a buddy in Florida that wants some of my guns. Can I ship from NJ to the FFL of his choice in Florida, provided that his FFL will accept the guns from a non-FFL? I know not all FFL's will accept guns from private individuals. I know from buying guns via Gunbroker that many came from private individuals and not from an FFL in the sellers state. But this being NJ and the ever-changing bullshit laws, just asking here. I can call the NJSP, but we all know what you will get different answers calling on the same damn day!
  25. I have a Springfield Armory 1911 that needs a new safety tube installed but I need the tool to stake it in place. Anyone have one that wants to loan it, or do it for me? I have not bought the part yet.
