Lotta extra Benjamins for a few rounds.
  2. You don't want to know what my AJ rebate total for 2017 is. I am tapped out. Just in time, the leprechaun is coming to steal our pot o' gold next week. F'em. You can only get 3 gift cards per account per offer. Of course, you can create multiple accounts. You just missed ten percent on AJ ended last week, Want another angle, get a Cabelas Club Visa Card and apply the rebate towards to bill! When the planets align you can: On Sale Cabelas Club percent off one day sale GIft Cards Active Junky Rebate Apply Cabelas Club Visa Points towards bill.
  3. Any model Ruger Mark I through Mark IV is worth it. Bull barrel even better. Cannot go wrong with it. Add enhancements from Volquartzen, Tandemkross and others make it a tack driver. Mark IV takedown system just enhances that. Long barrel means better sight radius when using irons, otherwise not a big deal. As far as the 22/45 tactical, not worth it. You do not need a threaded barrel, bull is better, and all those rails are just useless weight/decorations. Bull barrel with a good set of iron adjustable sights is all the bling you need. The receiver is drilled and tapped if you want to add a rail later on for optic. The 22/45 has a 1911 style grip angle versus the standard model. I would never get rid of my Mark II Government Model.
  4. Or use dry silicone lube in extreme cold. You can even run them dry no real harm done. I use AMSOIL MP Metal Protector in really cold weather.
  5. Medved11, good for you, keep warn!
  6. Canned Smoke will do it too, and test your smoke detectors as the same time. Remember what is leaking in is replacing what is leaking out!
  7. If the pipe broke there, then it was froze there. Is that possible? Otherwise the whole area should be flooded. Just clean up and resolder. You would be surprised how little ice it takes to stop water flow. Put heat to slab to defrost.
  8. High temp cutout on the furnace will kick in when temp of the firebox gets to high if the blower is not working correctly. Sounds like the safeties were performing correctly when the blower motor STB.
  9. Piston upper? OP said lightweight, not deadweight.
  10. Thought Bill Clinton banned that back in the 90s. Canucks still get cheap Chinese ammo though. I remember x39 1200/rd cases steel core and case for like 80 bucks. Ah, the good ole days.
  11. I have used UPS to ship ammo before, no problems, but I know recipient.
  12. Maybe wiser to convert for higher house value and quicker sale.
  13. Build it and get what you want. With the brake, charging handle, and BCG your looking at $940!
  14. NO! No gun sales or ammo sales. You can buy some accessories. So far I am thinking I may change whether I go. Exhibitor list shows no Remington, Walther, Benelli, Beretta. Ruger never goes. I got this feeling the big gun dogs are dropping out! Price? Length?
  15. Well, they do serve a bunch of them. http://portclintonhotel.net/
  16. Port Clinton Hotel up RT 61 from Cabelas for a great meal. Nothing to look at, but food is great. Been there for over 100 years. Popular stop for AT through hikers.
  17. For those that go, try the "cakes" at Stone Silo Foods, excellent. They are served at more area restaurants than you know.
  18. Must be legal at destination. That is probably your biggest problem. Second biggest will be the package has to be tendered to the carrier (UPS or FEDEX) through a authorized scheduled shipper, no counter or their stores. So you will have to find some shipper who does this. Now all you need is a label and ORM-D label. No black powder ammo. NO USPS. https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/packaging-and-supplies/special-care-shipments/hazardous-materials/shipping-ammunition.page
  19. Change to Dawn dish soap. I have heard that other soaps will cause discoloration when drying if not completely rinsed. Seems the preferred method is a 9MM full of Lemishine to a 45ACP full of Dawn with warm to hot water. I have also heard those who rinse well after tumbling, separate from the pins and then let the brass sit in a bucket of hot water and Lemishine for 15 minutes to further retard tarnishing, before drying. My method is a little strange but I put my brass into sealed storage after cleaning sometimes. I tumble in a FA as well, using the above formula and warm to hot water. Maybe up to about 120F for 2-4 hours I watch the weight of the container as well because when I push to max it doesn't work as well. I rinse, fill again with warm water and tumble again for 15 minutes to make sure all the soap is out. Separate the brass from the pins and then into the dryer they go for an hour or until dry. I use a tray dryer I have or into the dehydrator works. From there they go straight into the tumbler loaded with half corn cob and walnut shells with 2 cap fulls of NU finish car wax. I do this to coat them and it gives the brass a smoother feel. They seem to work easier in the dies when loading. If I am putting them into long term storage I may vacuum pack them as well or they get put in a bag in a ammo can with desiccant, Slows down the tarnishing effect so I can reload them straight from storage later. Hope this helps.
  20. But, I always heard 17 gets ya 20!
