  1. I need permission from @Mrs. Peel to copy & paste it, then I need to search for a file photo to use with it. So how about it Peel? What say YOU? Rosey
  2. IF WISHING ONLY MADE IT SO.....and yes I've asked & yes she has an open invitation to write on any topic she wants ~R
  3. And just like that....magically the gun you were askin' about bein' NJ legal yesterday is today fully assembled, lol! Nice "Hallway Gun" btw. Q: What's the barrel length? If it's 18.5" you can probably bet it's a Cylinder Bore scattergun. And @Displaced Texan is correct. Choke is stamped on the barrel. Might be abbreviated to "12 gauge Cyl 2 3/4 and 3 Inches" fyi. 4. Welcome Newbie! You can't find an answer because you're looking for permission to breathe air. Meaning it's a given that you'll be breathing and since most laws & their penalties are listed for things you can't do, have, own, or transport, the fact that you got a headache looking for them & couldn't find them means they don't exist. Just like looking for permission to breathe air... that law doesn't exist either! Best advice I can give is to stop reading the actual laws of stuff you can't do & concentrate on the EXCEPTIONS & EXEMPTIONS detailing when you CAN act like a Free American. Second best advice is to read the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners Black Wire Blog. It's our electronic newspaper "morgue", a collection of what everybody on our staff writes. The best 2A news & views to be found anywhere. https://www.cnjfo.com/News While you're converting your 870 into a hallway gun / Death Machine with mail-order parts, please consider joining NJ's busiest 2A group HERE: https://www.cnjfo.com/join-us If you're on Facebook, check out our page here: https://www.facebook.com/cnjfo You can put a coon-huntin' light on yer 870, as well as a home-made 18 round mag, pistol grip, adjustable stock, laser pointer, and bayonet lug and no one would care. Change the platform to a semi-auto, and you've made an EVIL weapon of DEATH & DESTRUCTION that earns you 7-10 in the Pokey for an "ASSAULT WEAPON" (whatevva the hell THAT is) Stay FROSTY & welcome to NJ gun law! Rosey, VP CNJFO https://www.cnjfo.com Here's another taste of NJ gun law by yours truly. We wrote a check to the Cheeseman-Gillard Supreme Court lawsuit for $11 Grand at this same meeting in So. Jersey.
  5. @Mrs. PeelI know lots of women that love to compete with their 2011's ( a 1911 that's all grown-up >> a "double-stack"). Here's a professional documentary video just 5:30 in length of then 16 year old Kaitlyn Francis. It was posted 4 1/2 YEARS ago. She does 3-Gun with the aforementioned "2011" double-stack. And uses a NJ-ILLEGAL assault weapon for a scattergun (holds more than 6 in that YUGE mag)! And 30 round standard capacity mags for her AR-15 too... I can almost smell the FREEDOM from here! Enjoy everyone!
  6. @Malice4you I just wrote an article for CNJFO and part of the story had to do with the NJ ban on adjustable stocks actually causing MORE instead of LESS guns in the public's hands! Because "gun fit" is important to effective gun handling and SAFETY! The story just happens to cover Sandy Muldoon & Shari Spivack, the two instructors giving the class at Easton that @W2MC posted about! I wore a hat at last Sunday's class too, that of an Expert Panelist along with Spivack. Here's the story: https://www.cnjfo.com/news/9207290 Here's the paragraph the adjustable stocks are mentioned: "Muldoon was elated to inform green card holding immigrants present that they too can apply for & receive firearm purchase permits. Spivack and Muldoon are petite in stature and spoke about "EVIL" adjustable stocks on the AR-15 platform and how inconvenient and stupid NJ gun law is regarding what most consider a likeable feature that actually enhances safety so shooters with short AND longer arms can get a proper fit with a single rifle. NJ law backfires, doubling-down on "the stupid" by causing families to purchase multiple copies of the same gun so everyone in the family gets a proper fit. So much for "getting guns off the streets", lol!"

  8. From CNJFO's Facebook page several days ago: GHOST GUN CHASER TOLD DON'T MESS W/ TEXAS! SAF SUIT GOING FORWARD, NJ AG IN JEOPARDY! by Theresa Inacker for Black Wire Media Thursday August 20, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Yesterday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals held that New Jersey Attorney General Grewal is, indeed, subject to the jurisdiction of Texas courts. This means that a case brought against Grewal in Texas will proceed and go forward. Attorney Grewal is known for filing a multitude of political cases in other states on issues tangentially related to anything in New Jersey, all while on the taxpayers’ dime. In this matter, a case was brought against Grewal, by the Second Amendment Foundation and Defense Distributed, a Texas company that produces and makes accessible, information about the 3D printing of firearms. For background, Defense Distributed initially met resistance from the US State Department on "firearm exportation" concerns (the State Dept. always weighs-in regarding these matters--Ed.) because the internet is world-wide, but after litigation, entered into a settlement agreement which granted Defense Distributed a license to proceed. New Jersey Attorney General Grewal, and nine other Attorneys General, sued the State Department over this license to distribute issued to Defense Distributed and an immediate injunction was ordered by that court. Defense Distributed sued Grewal in a Texas court because Grewal sent a “cease and desist” letter, sent letters to internet service providers encouraging them to cancel their contracts with Defense Distributed, and actually threatened criminal sanctions against them at a press conference. Defense Distributed alleges that Grewal is violating its First and Second Amendment rights, and has engaged in tortious interference with the contracts with the internet service providers by trying to get their contracts cancelled, thereby threatening any commerce the company chooses to do. Grewal singled-out Defense Distributed of Texas at a press conference, and threatened that he would “’come after’ anyone who is contemplating making a printable gun” and “the next ghost gun company.” What NJ considers a "Ghost Gun" is a catch-all meaning that traps hobbyists. The NJ Attorney General considers blocks of aluminum that require extensive machining and fitting by hobbyists ---commonly known as "80% lowers" that BATF&E deems legal---to be "GHOST GUNS". In fact a strict interpretation of the NJ AG's rule deems muzzle loading firearms manufacture by black powder reenactors & artisans to be "ghost gun" manufacturing, punishable as an indictable offense (felony)! Making NJ a laughing stock yet again... There is no evidence that a 3D printed firearm has ever been used in a violent crime in New Jersey. Once he was sued for these actions, Grewal filed a motion to dismiss the case based upon a lack of personal jurisdiction. That motion was granted by a lower court. However, yesterday, the Court of Appeals at the Fifth Circuit held that Grewal is, indeed, subject to the jurisdiction of Texas courts for his actions, and, threatened actions, against Defense Distributed. Therefore, the case filed by Defense Distributed putting Grewal on the defense will proceed in federal court in Texas. This placed every taxpayer in NJ at JEOPARDY for the monetary pay-out as a result of Grewal's meddling. In the decision, the court held that “Grewal’s conduct beyond sending the cease-and-desist letter confirms his intent to crush Defense Distributed’s operations and not simply limit the dissemination of digital files in New Jersey.” The court also held that Grewal has projected himself across state lines. These are all important factors when making a determination about jurisdiction. The case against Grewal will proceed. With his penchant for filing "willy-nilly" lawsuits, especially those that try to crush the Second Amendment, and attempting to throw the weight of his unelected office across the country and against federal entities in furtherance of his political positions, this will be a case to watch. While the decision is largely a procedural one, the court found that Grewal has INTERJECTED HIMSELF into matters in Texas, well BEYOND New Jersey's BORDERS, and he must face the consequences, whatever they may be. EDITOR's NOTE: Theresa Inacker is the CNJFO Communications Director, and is tasked with keeping us "on-message". Her expert analysis (read "translation" so we all can understand) of legal proceedings and the merits upon which they're based come from being an attorney that's been admitted to practice law before the US Supreme Court. To put things in proper perspective, NJ AG Grewal doesn't have that standing and has to have underlings that do respond to SCOTUS for him. Being first to merely post a link is great, but having brainpower on staff to make it digestible is even greater! We hope our readers appreciate the time & effort Inacker & all of her staff put in. The best way to show your appreciation is to SHARE THIS ANALYSIS! ---The Editor If you don't "hate" Facebook, get the latest news & 2A views at: www.facebook.com/cnjfo Our electronic "newspaper morgue" can be found at: https://www.cnjfo.com/news Enjoy! 9. Glad you two had a great time together! Kids can get busy & distracted. If he doesn't text you in 2 weeks or less, YOU text him! Give him a BS story if you have to: "I need some help"... trying out new ammo-target-scope-sand bag-ANYTHING! Get him out there AGAIN and really SET THE HOOK! Use shoot-N-C or dirty bird type reactionary targets. Work on bench rest for trip #2. Start with good feet position & work skyward. Teach breathin' & squeezin'. Give praise when 2-3 shots touch & make one ragged hole. It means he's listening & gets repeatable results. Pack a cooler with cold drinks & a snack. Bring D-Lead wipes & use prior to eating & drinking. Bring some steel or a spotting scope & teach him how to use it. Always lots of fun things to learn! "EACH ONE, REACH ONE" spoken here fluently Putting smiles on kissers is rewarding! And congrats once more Uncle Kevin! Rosey
  10. As of Sunday there were 1,969 checks waiting to go thru the NJ garden house tryin' to put-out the house fire! To learn more about NJ's most active Second Amendment group & why you should JOIN, go to: https://www.cnjfo.com/join-us To get to our "newspaper morgue" to read all of the stories w/o visiting Facebook, go to: https://www.cnjfo.com/news Here's today's CNJFO story on NJ NICS: NEVER-ENDING WAIT PLAGUES NJ GUN PERMITS! HOW MANY MUST DIE BEFORE NICS IS FIXED NJ?? by Dan Grdovic for Black Wire Media Monday Aug. 24, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us So, you waited your legislatively mandated maximum 30 days (in practice more like 70+ days, depending on your town) for your "permission slip" from the State to allow you to purchase your handgun, only to find out that the NICS "INSTANT" background check (the UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECK that you constantly hear the overzealous media clamoring for as if it didn't exist), resembles Instant the way Instant Coffee resembles coffee, or the way Government resembles Help. Those "increased resources" they speak about? Yeah, they have not increased resources in any measurable manner as the backlog still remains well above 1,000 checks, and has been holding at that level for close to three weeks. At CNJFO we saw this coming. In fact it's why we wrote to Gov. Murphy, NJSP Superintendent Callahan and every NJ Senator & Assemblyperson on July 1st imploring them to DO AWAY with the NJ Portal for the National Instant Check System (NICS)! We're still waiting for his not so "INSTANT" answer... Delays such as these have resulted in deaths. Deaths at the hand of the state. Carol Bowne applied for her permits, and was killed on her property at day 43, stabbed to death by an ex-boyfriend whom she had a restraining order against. Her newly-installed CCTV captured it all. If she had lived in Pennsylvania, just a few minutes from her Berlin, NJ home, not only wouldn't have she WAITED that long, she'd have a CARRY PERMIT to at least try to defend herself against her murderer. We'll save that Unicorn story (carry permit in NJ) for another day... We tend to roll our eyes at the following clichés: A restraining order is just a piece of paper, and a right delayed, remains a right denied. Yet here we have, in practice, the negative effects indicated therein. Another body, another soul, stacked like cordwood on the altar of GUN CONTROL. What's a prospective gun owner to do? For those of you who are close to "the border" and are purchasing a long gun, we highly recommend going to PA as PICS is still running somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes - and yes, that's 100% legal, but only for long guns. But wait, there's more going on here. The NJ NICS Portal was listing their backlog online, you see that in the screenshot photo, and then for whatever reason they pulled the backlog announcement DOWN temporarily. As of Friday Aug 21 at 8:00 AM, what does the NJ NICS Portal show? That's right folks, shortly after the Star Ledger reached out to CNJFO to interview us about these delays, MIRACULOUSLY, the NJ NICS Portal no longer lists anything about a backlog! Hmmmm? Yesterday the number advisory splash page was reposted with "1,969" still waiting for approval processing, and the notice said they were still 4 days behind. Best analogy we can think of is trying to put out a house fire with a garden hose, and a KINKED one at that! So, did they add 11 new people overnight to clear the backlog? HARDLY! The backlog still exists, they've just (temporarily) maneuvered themselves so that YOU don't have proof of THEIR incompetence. Maybe it grew to over 2,000 and someone decided no one needed to KNOW THAT? Not that you needed proof - just look at the absurd lines and policies at DMV! Think anything is going to change? HARDLY. In the meantime, we wish you good luck, and pray that the home invaders don't knock between now and when YOUR "instant"? check is approved. EDITOR's NOTE: CNJFO President Dan Grdovic brings up the facts & figures that can't be "massaged" into a pretty picture. Is that why The Star Ledger's original story on firearms transfers that our Theresa Inacker spent considerable time being interviewed on never saw ink? Is THAT why it "morphed" ("Murph-ed" for my Peeps) into the "nobody can find ammo on the shelf due to exploding demand overtaking an already ramped-up production story"?? In fact Grdovic's portrait of incompetency leads this Editor to ask THE question I've been asking as a gun owner for decades: With a broken-down system (NJ NICS Portal) as bad as it IS, and getting worse by the day, why do obvious gun collectors need to CLOG it? After 5, 10, 20 hand guns collected, the collector doesn't "need" the 21st to commit their crime spree, knock over a liquor store or rob a bank! So why in hell are we even bothering "KINKING the garden hose trying to put-out the house fire" with yet another needless, point-of-purchase "check" (with almost a business week backlog) at the gun counter (transfer point)?? All it does is MAKE THE FIRST TIME GUN BUYERS WAIT even MORE! Isn't it about time that NJ figured out that they can TRUST HONEST Gun Owners? Isn't the paper hand gun permit signed by the local Chief of Police enough for gun collectors? Why does NJ treat every gun owner like a criminal on a prison Chain Gang "asking permission to go potty"? ---The Editor
  11. I'll handle this one question at a time, applying out-of-the-box thinking and actual examples I've eye-witnessed. Here goes: 1. Rules set by commercial ranges can change like spools of toilet paper. If they say you have to shoot on one foot weak-handed, then that's what everybody has to do or risk getting thrown-out. This enforcement is due to a commercial insurance carrier's Underwriter doing their due diligence via a suicide threat assessment and is implemented to offset an extremely high insurance premium. It's a choice every commercial range that rents firearms (and has this bidness model) figures out on its own and puts into effect. Insurance carriers get involved at ranges before the first cement block is laid to create the foundation, let alone establish "rules" put into place to reduce suicides. Since all private clubs mandate you be a NJFPID card holder on their applications, this "rule" by commercial ranges isn't needed. A gun owner & NJFPID card holder doesn't need to rent a gun to take their life. It HAS happened at a commercial NJ range, but is EXTREMELY RARE! Many foreign nationals from communist countries get a taste of freedom at commercial ranges. None of THEM have NJ or ANY other driver's license. I've seen it with my own eyes. In fact, foreign nationals represent a huge target market that keeps commercial ranges BUSY and PROFITABLE! A foursome arrives in an Uber from NYC and drops $150 - $200 per head for rental guns, lots of ammo and instruction. It's like going to Disney only LOUDER! 2. In a one word answer, NO! Here's WHY: A NJFPID card has never been required by law to transport firearms! One reason is a NJFPID card holder has to be 18 years old. NJ Fish & Wildlife issues hunting licenses to 10 year olds (they need to be accompanied by parent or guardian), and allows kids to HUNT BY THEMSELVES before they're allowed to drive! So if the "Yellow Card" was mandatory, every 17 year old licensed driver who hunts in NJ with his Mom's or Dad's scattergun would be guilty of an indictable offense (FELONY!) for merely driving the empty scattergun & ammo to the hunting location! New arrivals to NJ from out of state can bring-in their 200 gun collections and never register in NJ as a gun owner. So long as there aren't any semi-auto long guns with EVIL features (a scattergun that holds more than 6 rounds or has a pistol grip, and of course rifles with only 2 evil features plus the pistol grip) or external mags that hold more than 10 rounds (.22 semi-auto pea shooters actually got a break---signed into law by Murphy!--so 18 round tubular mags are back to being street-legal), those new residents OR VISITORS are "golden"... No one ever arrested a surviving spouse for illegally transporting their spouse's firearms (registered or NOT) to ANY EXEMPT LOCATION! Appraiser, FFL, Gunsmith, range, hunting field, etc., etc., etc. Lord knows plenty of firearm owners have left this mortal coil, so where are all the inmates guilty of a felony for transporting w/o a "Yellow Card"? A 18 year old "kid" can be willed firearms (long gun only), and a 21 year old can legally transport hand guns willed to them. Neither kid needs a yellow card to take their deceased relative's firearms to the range or any other exempt location. Which is why none of them are sittin' in jail... 3. Technically speaking, by the letter of the law, having your FPID card WITH YOU while transporting IS NOT REQUIRED! It's the most common NJ firearms law myth after "hollow points are illegal". Nowhere is it written in the 2C statutes that you must POSSESS IT while transporting. The law merely stipulates that it only be "OBTAINED", thus creating your SBI number. Further investigation on your part will conclude that there isn't ANY law or PENALTY written that indicates POSSESSION must be accommodated to be within the written exemption. Refer back to the 17 year old hunter above... Summation: 1b above is merely a "range rule" designed to lower insurance rates thereby keeping cost of doing bidness and the resultant annual dues, port fees, etc. at a commercial range, UNDER CONTROL! Additionally, if a NJ multi-millionaire that had multiple residences spread throughout NJ's 21 counties, leaving his/her yellow card in Bergen county never stopped them from bringing firearms to their shore house for plinking, competition OR self-defense. I hope I've been helpful. Thanks again for your steadfast support of 2A & CNJFO in particular! Rosey When this young women turns 21 she'll be able to transport her granddad's .357 that was willed to her and do so w/o a yellow card!
  12. @Malsua Thanks for posting! At least they didn't screw-up my quote, lol! In typical Star Ledger fashion, they took Rick Friedman's quote & ran with it like CHICKEN LITTLE: THE SKY IS FALLING!!, THE SKY IS FALLING!!!! "THE COUNTRY IS LITERALLY OUT OF AMMUNITION!!!" Which they made the eye-catching headline of the story, of course, lol! No one is "out of ammo", because all that ammo that got hoarded sure as hell didn't get pumped back into the ground from whence it came, lol! The ammo merely changed hands faster than the normal supply chain could keep up. There will be a "saturation point" at sometime in the future where folks will feel safe enough w/ XXX number of thousands of rounds of ammo in their bunkers and a YUGE credit card bill.... Rosey P.S.: Don't all you 9mm Fan Boys out there wish you had a couple .40 Short & Weak platforms & a few mags??? LOL! Here's Eric Rebels, Shaneen Allen & myself on GFH Radio from Feb. 2019.
  13. @Zeke YOU RANG!? (in my best "Adams Family" Lurch impersonation, lol) I'm a Shootist, and as such I play with all platforms that go BANG, lol. Yes, I love me my black powder UNREGISTERED GUNS brought in from FREE AMERICA (PA.). For obvious reasons, unlike some on this forum, I won't list every gun I own or fantasize over. However I will admit I do own America's most popular sporting rifle. An EVIL BLACK Beauty. My 20 & 30 round Non-Fudd mags for it are at my son & dil's in Pennsy. At CNJFO we run events where Fudds get exposed to speed shooters in USPSA & IDPA. They absorb 2A thru osmosis, a little bit at a time, during conversations about things like sending your un-yellow-carded wife or girlfriend to the store for hand gun ammo. It takes a while. Ya hafta use a teaspoon & not a tablespoon when serving the facts of life to a straight-up Fudd. @USRifle30Cal makes a brilliant point. Black Powder usage doesn't always mean yer dealin' with a Fudd. I set the example and work harder at 2A than probably anyone else that's on this forum, and I'm the country's first NRA Double Distinguished Expert in Muzzleloading (rifle & pistol). Black powder use also means yer all outta fucks to give. Tired of government intrusion, rules, laws, ammo shortages (we can play with our own BALLS & POUR hot lead) and such. It also means some of us are GUN-MAKERS sharing our knowledge & skillz for how to turn wood & steel into something that's both beautiful & DEADLY! And COMPLETELY off the books! If I'd have to point fingers, I'd say you can find more Fudds at a Trap or Skeet shooting venue (like the Clinton WMA) clinging to their scatterguns than a private club's Black Powder League. NJGF people break the Fudd mold at Clinton WMA the same way I break the Fudd mold with my black powder Communication is KEY. Some of the Fudds just applied for hand gun permits to have a hand gun in the house. Misery loves company and now their eyes are opening into what it's like to walk in our shoes as true 2A patriots. We need to EDUCATE, not INSTIGATE needless, stereotypical ARGUMENTS......... The War of Ideas requires "big picture thinking" by the grown-ups in the room. Thanks for the tag Zeke & have the rest of a nice summer! Rosey https://www.cnjfo.com/join-us
  14. This entire thread is just another example of the price you pay for not building a relationship with a NJ Dealer and doing all the transfer processing thru him or her. This entire thread wouldn't have been typed if that were the case...I get the fact that these days it's hard to find inventory, but c'mon! And Paul is right, SOME blame falls on Pink Card holder #2 for not clarifying with their NEW customer how many handguns are on layaway for this NEW customer all over the 21 counties of NJ & when he last took possession of a transfer. It's like question #1 in my book right after "Do you have your p2P with you right now?" ~R
  15. I'm glad you both like my work. Thanks for your faith & trust in my abilities. I'm hoping spreading the word will help get more souls involved in the fight for 2A. Great seeing you too. And again, my sincere thanks for all the support Ed! Good luck in the Team events! Keep me informed of your progress! Rosey
  16. @Pizza Bob @Golf battery I was so excited about meeting Richie & seeing you two again (for those that don't know the 3 of us used to shoot IDPA together at Somerset Fish & Game once in a while) that I could hardly sleep. I woke-up thinking about what I had to write before i forgot any of it. My notes jog my memory, and lots of coffee keeps me on-task. I hope I did well for both Richie & the history-making Team Kulak! Here's the article, ready sooner than I thought!: NJ FFL KULAK ARMS SPONSORS SHOOTING TEAM! GUN SHOP OWNER FORMS ACTION SHOOTING SQUAD! by Black Wire Media Thur. Aug. 13, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Richie Kulak is a full time LEO that loves the gun culture. He loves it so much so that when he leaves his "day job", he comes home to his Lawrence Twp., NJ basement "bunker" and literally surrounds himself with firearms spanning a 200 year history. Flintlocks to Glocks, he's got it all. Kulak established Kulak Arms in 1996, and up until 2017 his FFL business mostly catered to fellow LEO's and first responders. He "went public" in 2017 and the business "exploded". Kulak is a strong 2A proponent and relies solely on "word-of-mouth" advertising. At least he did until the end of July when he asked customer Bob Hess if Kulak Arms could somehow sponsor Hess's fondness for action shooting. Hess told Kulak he has friends that shoot with him. Team Kulak was born! Kulak is a member of Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club, and our NJ state NRA Association, ANJRPC. Kulak is a full-service FFL with more on his shelves these days than Cabela's store in Hamburg, PA. Richie spends a lot of time educating the masses on what's needed permit-wise to purchase firearms in NJ. He has folks walking in without a clue, after reading their newspapers and watching the TV news, thinking they can merely traipse-in and walk out with a firearm. Because the news media makes it all seem so simple. Items such as background checks, mental health check, references, and the entire permitting process & timeline get conveniently left-out by the media as they bang the drum for more & more gun control. Hess describes his favorite FFL as "A Gun Shop with a Heart!" and Kulak supports all sorts of local causes. He's by no means an easy mark, but he does have a heart of gold. There's almost always a cause or charity event he's supporting, so when you visit, be sure to ask how YOU can help! Because Gun People are the best people! "I spend more time educating complete Newbies -- first time gun permit applicants -- than selling guns! I believe in establishing relationships. If you show up during my dinner, I'll offer you some. It's my Italian heritage, nobody leaves unsatisfied" --- Richie Kulak, Kulak Arms owner Hess, a shooter since age 9, has six decades of shooting and gun collecting experience, and is the Team Kulak Captain. Hess's teammates are CNJFO member & supporter extraordinaire Ed Jackowski, and Zack Becker. The trio have been shooting local NJ action matches for years. Zack is the youngest and fastest at 29, Ed comes next at 51, and Bob, a young 69, competes with his Smith & Wesson revolver collection ("Wheelies" to those in the culture) and usually places lower in the finish order. This diverse team spans 40 years in age and represents 110 years of shooting experience! "Zack is a "natural". He shot an ICORE match with a brand new S&W revolver he never sighted-in and Ed & I watched him engage 4 targets getting 8 X's. If Ed forgets to engage a couple of targets or has a brain fart, I can beat him! We're a team of what the shooting sports represents, the everyday shooter." ---Bob Hess, Team Kulak Captain The "Action" disciplines involve practical shooting scenarios that require speed, accuracy and most of all, consistency. Drawing a loaded sidearm from its holster and engaging cardboard in various shapes & sizes containing scoring rings, and AR-500 rated steel plates that bullet impacts knock down are popular shooting targets in these action disciplines. Movement (sometimes known as "Running & Gunning") is often mandatory. "Action" means you're NOT standing in a port shooting S L O W L Y. Each discipline has its own set of rules as to size of target, order of engagement, number of shots allowed per stage, etc., and all three promote safe gun handling. Jackowski enjoys the local club competitions and is always challenging himself to improve his performance. Team Kulak is currently setting their match schedule and awaiting delivery of their team uniform shirts, to our knowledge a first for any New Jersey gun store! Kulak Arms sponsorship of the team includes all match fees for the trio, as well as customized team uniform shirts and hats. FFL Richie Kulak became a newsworthy trendsetter without ever realizing it. We learned about the team through reading Hess's announcement on the New Jersey Gun Forums ( www.njgunforums.com ), an interactive site where NJ gun owners and those that wish to be ask a ton of questions and get knowledgeable answers, especially from "Pizza Bob" Hess. Team Kulak shoots the following three action disciplines on a rotating basis three to four weekends a month: I.D.P.A. (International Defensive Pistol Association), U.S.P.S.A. (United States Practical Shooting Association), and I.C.O.R.E. (International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts). Tentative schedule for the bi-state based team includes USPSA at Shongum Sportsmen's Association the 1st weekend, ICORE at Lower Providence's range in PA on the 2nd weekend, 3rd weekend is currently open, and the 4th weekend is IDPA back at lower Providence in PA. Kulak Arms handles both retail AND Police Dept. sales, gunsmithing, hydro-dipping, machining parts (machinist on staff), NJ compliance work (mag & muzzle pinning), consignments, estate sales, transfers, and hunting & fishing licenses as an official Agent of NJF&W. Kulak Arms is the official FFL doing all transfers for the local Ducks Unlimited chapter, donating his time. CNJFO's newest sponsor, Kulak Arms conducts basic to advanced firearms training. For more info & shop hours, go to: www.kulakarms.com . To view CNJFO's sponsor links, go to: www.cnjfo.com/Links . Thanks again Bob & Ed for all you do for the 2nd Amendment, and Zack too! Huzzah Team Kulak! ---Rosey
  17. It's a 100+ mile round trip for me. That won't stop me from spending my money there either! 2A is being held together by threads in this Gawd-awful state. One of the strongest of those threads is Richie Kulak. I just met the man yesterday. I'm impressed! Rosey
  18. Is this your first hand gun? Cause if it is, just be glad you can find anything to pew with due to current market conditions. Just remember some indoor ranges don't allow steel case ammo due to "steel core" ammo dimpling the steel backstops, which then can cause ricochets. Some ranges use a magnet on the heads... (Maybe you knew this already & if not other Newbies lurking just got educated For home defense stick with brass or nickel plated brass. Rosey
  19. This makes 4 of us. Rosey
  20. I smell a story here. Who wants to get interviewed & photographed? Maybe our readers would like to thank Mr. Kulak by doing bidness with him... ~R
  21. I'm too tired at this time of night for my usual diatribe. Can anyone copy & paste it for me so this OP (a Newbie) gets the right info? We do literally need to have a post-it note for this. Thx Rosey
  22. @eyeinstine Keep the faith Ron! Your idea is a solid one, and many of my Facebook friends are here on this forum, just not active every day. Personally I get both sides of this equation. On one side there's folks that hate FB for all the reasons listed. On the other side, there's guys like me, that have written SEVEN stories for CONUS consumption since you originally posted this thread. SEVEN, with most going unread by folks here because they don't "creep" on our NEWS web page DAILY. The one that author & soon-to-be CNJFO Life Member John Petrolino updates when he's not aboard ship as a Merchant Marine: https://www.cnjfo.com/News Often there's a 2-3 DAY lag between breaking news and forum posts, although of late, guys like YOU Ron have been trying to make those here that don't do Facebook aware of current events while they're still current. Doing THAT relieves me of the necessity of doing so, thereby allowing me the necessary time for story development, interviews and reporting the likes of which is simply astonishing. Examples: Red Flag interview of the first NJ family ever Red Flagged. Lacey Twp. HS & Board of Ed suspending students for shooting on their own time off school, the great "bullet belt" fiasco (a second Lacey case!) involving Neal DeBenedetto of Lacey Twp. (he got 40 day out-of-school suspension for having his mom buy him a fashion accessory). A Marine that got blown up in the Sand Box 14 years ago by an IED & had the Waldwick cops come to clear his house after the Mrs. called the cops & swore-out a TRO. Cops found 2 standard-capacity mags in his footlocker along with his Marine sword. Mags still had sand dust in them. He asked for advice on Facebook, and we came to the rescue with cutting-edge breaking news articles (one of which the Judge in the case had IN HIS HAND as he threw the mags out of a hearing where the DA was looking to make an ARREST in Family Court) and a recommendation to hire Nappen. Yep, Facebook sucks! It sucks SO bad some here should consider altering their names & making profiles just to like CNJFO... https://www.facebook.com/cnjfo Orrrrrrr, they should at least creep our website to see what they're MISSING by only being here... Facebook is a communications tool in my toolbox. I've written stories viewed by the First Family. One story got 2.3 MILLION people reached worldwide. It's a necessary evil that my demographic uses, therefore I have to be there. I will of course answer any page (tag) here, as this windbag pontification suggests. Yours for a REAL 2A in Jersey before I croak, Rosey WHY THE GOOD GUYS NEED CCW GUNS IN JERSEY! BRANDISHED AT IN A WALLY WORLD PARKING LOT! by Black Wire Media Mon. July 27, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us Don't look now Loretta (NJ Senator Weinberg), THE WILD WEST is already here thanks to politicians of your ilk! In a scene right out of the movies, a Wally World parking spot became worth going to JAIL over! Seems not even a trip to Walmart is safe anymore for John Q. Citizen in south Jersey's Washington Township, a normally bucolic Philly suburb. At least not with these two miscreants on the loose. The pair decided it was a great idea to brandish their illegally-gotten GAT (hand gun) as the argument over who's spot it was escalated. Such a thing doesn't happen in Free America, where everyday citizens (including pizza delivery drivers) HAVE carry permits and so can SHOOT YOU! See an armed society is a POLITE society in Free America where perps KNOW folks CARRY. But since New Jersey's political elites have armed escorts, they don't care about us serfs. We're merely "collateral damage" statistics in the unwinnable war on street crime (the War ON GUNZ!), where only the thugs have guns and the citizenry is at their mercy. Where the Perps go through a revolving door Court system (we can't bring ourselves to call it "Justice") and have Rap Sheets as long as your arm. Where the actual Gun CRIMES "go away" in a broken system yearning for thugs to plead-away indictable firearms offenses in lieu of quick convictions! Where the citizens are told only the cops should have guns, and John/Jane Q. Public can't be trusted with sidearms. Where the Police have "no duty to protect" any individual (don't look at us, the Courts ruled on this YEARS ago!). People sometimes ask us why we fight so hard for New Jersey's legal gun owners to be able to carry. Maybe our answer should be because we merely want to shop at Wally World without being threatened by the trash?
  23. IANAL Back "In the Day", before computers (and YOU) existed, folks with Yellow Cards fell in love & got married. Sometimes away at college in a dorm for months at a time. After they finished moving out of Mom & Dad's house, and settled down with their spouse, they did the "Official" address change for their Yellow Card. ONCE! Expecting visits and/or grandchildren, anxious parents didn't throw-out little Ralphie's bed, and little @Cheflife15 visited often to help with landscaping & other strenuous chores and gave Mom & Dad money for a vacation or two. Everybody got along fine, the CLEO didn't know or CARE about the "arrangement", and life continued uninterrupted. THE END Live your life, and enjoy your parents while they're still ALIVE. I lost my Dad in Nov. 1982, when I was 23, and he didn't make it to my wedding or see any grandchildren. You have your whole life ahead of you. Keep yer nose clean & stay under the radar.
  24. Actually Lou Nappen put the law under a microscope looking for the phrase "While moving" IN THE EXEMPTION STATUTE and it wasn't to be found (because it doesn't exist)! Where the Judge went wrong was not allowing the transportation EXEMPTIONS to be admitted in the trial. Without the transportation exemptions, the Jury naturally found Aitken guilty as charged. The Judge was admonished for his handling of the case as well as his "Charge of the Jury", which resulted in his quitting or being disbarred(?) ---not sure which---I would need to look it up. To this day the "Moving Exemption" for hollow points doesn't exist, which is the reason for my "ZERO DARK THIRTY" diatribe
  25. ^^^THIS is exactly what I'm talking about. Particulars. Hidden particulars that directly affect good advice & decision-making! Buying a house could take years to save for it. When are you closing on the property or is this "temporary" thing not so temporary? I still don't know where your Yellow Card comes back to...Mom & Dad's house? Another address that's not the room you rent? Getting engaged means not yet engaged. Moving out means not yet moved out & still staying at Mom & Dad's? See what I'm getting at? Incomplete information, delivered one pulled tooth at a time. It leads to incorrect advice. It ALWAYS does... If your DL & Yellow Card come back to Mom & Dad's, leave everything be until you get settled in your own place. If not, then you need to tell me so I can give you the CORRECT way to proceed. As we pull teeth together, lol! ~R
