  1. I've got my 09 bmw 335 2 years ago with 20k miles. LOVE to drive it! 3k miles left on warranty and starting to get scared about long-term ownership costs. But still an great ride.
  2. 67gtonut- does buffing out the barrel like that alter the barrell's fit to the bushing?
  3. Northeastern populations are becoming more secular, less religious. By using "natural rights" instead of "granted by god" we separate two important but separate discussions. Focus on freedom, self-protection, and the piss-poor job our gov't did with Sandy as arguments for being self reliant and personally responsible.
  4. My wife also prefers a revolver to my 9MM. She is currently shooting a 6" S&W m66 k frame with Hogue rubber grips. Very soft shooting with 38's with less muzzle rise and greater accuracy.
  5. Great person to deal with! Thank you!
  6. Hey! Isn't that MMA host Joe Rogan in the stall behind her?
  7. +1 Wolfy Judge Pirro is the real deal. But the NRA couldn't pay her enough to leave Fox.
  8. I agree with juddster. Progressive lenses requires you to position your head in a way that isn't ideal for shooting long guns. Invest in a pair of Rx safety glasses with a bifocal lens set lower than normal. But be aware, in higher Rx strengths, you get unwanted prism effects the farther you get from the center of the lens. This may impact your sight picture with a good cheek weld.
  9. Don't overlook used K frame S&W's like the M66. My wife has small hands and finds my 1976 vintage 6" easy to hold and shoot.
  10. My wife got her first FPID and P2P in Jackson this past week. Took less than 3months.
  11. I look at it this way. Christie is one of the very few Pols in NJ that ISN'T demonizing gun owners. That's a win in my book. You will never see him hugging Wayne Lapierre or Ted Nugent like he did Obama.
  12. I bought the Sig p226 classic beavertail 22 and added the 9mm Xchange kit. Its a great combo. This way I could introduce the Wife and my kids to the guns without intimidating them with the recoil. Teach with the 22 then up the ante with the 9mm. And it saved a permit for my new ( 1972 ) S&W M28 .357. That's what i'm talkin about!
  13. Used my last P2P Friday, got the approval Monday morning.
  14. My small wife prefers my S&W m66 6" with 38's to my P226 9mm. It's softer shooting and very accurate. The weight softens the kick. A small frame 22 auto like the Ruger SR22 or Baretta neos might make her more comfortable and confident.
  15. My wife is an tax accountant ( Enrolled Agent ). We live in Jackson. She's a new shooter and waiting for p2p's as I write this. 2+2= "depends" PM me for her contact info.
  16. I just bought a 300lb Stack-on 14 gun safe. It took me, my 23yr old son and my wife an hour to get it up the stairs. Damn near killed me. I ached for days, I love the idea that my guns are locked up tight but within reach. But I been in the house for 15yrs and don't plan on moving anytime soon.
  17. Aren't both papers owned by the same company? Gannett newspapers? Sounds like an approved campaign to smear gun owners. Anyone with a subscription to any Gannett publication should tell them where to shove their product!
  18. 552 speedmaster is a classic 22 cal. tube-fed semi-auto "assault rifle"
  19. I have a Remington m552 with the same issue. When I got it, the tube had been crimped ( with something like a tubing cutter ), limiting it to 15 shorts and only 7lr rounds. The follower is limited in its movement up the tube. It sucks but it's legal.
  20. What if "WE THE PEOPLE" pooled some $ and instead of buying a new gun, bought a gun company? Let cerberus sell it to an investment group of gun owners!
  21. Place a piece of scotch tape over your dominant eye ( on your safety glasses!). It will help you switch dominance. It isn't always possible to do. Like any shooting skill, the key is practice, practice, practice. Training extensively will either get you there or improve your "work-around". Either way, your shooting improves.
  22. Buy one and throw a big F.U. at Eric Holder
  23. Until there are repercussions for the failures of the PD's to provide a required service in a timely manner, nothing will change. You can be the nice guy, or the squeecky wheel, in the end you have no control of the outcome. Honey or Lemon?
  24. Cheyenne Mountain has a large inventory with helpful counter help and fair prices.
