  1. I've had a dozen F150s, all 2006 & newer. When prices were reasonable I had a hobby of buying/fixing/flipping them but prices got crazy. Every brand has their + & -, for me the Fords worked out great since the F150 is the most popular vehicle in the country. Parts are available everywhere and the weaknesses are well known. I'd suggest sticking with 2011 & newer with the 5.0. None of the problems of the 5.4, though the earlier 4.6 engines are extremely reliable. Just watch for rust. That said, with used truck prices now I'd be on the lookout for something new at the dealer that checks all your boxes. You'd pay sticker, but have a warranty and a new truck. Yes, $45-50k (or more depending on trim), but to me that makes more sense that spending $20k+ for something with 150k miles on it.
  2. Good luck finding .22tcm ammo at this point. I love shooting the round but haven't been able to find any in almost 2 years.
  3. You realize you only need to spend 6 months plus 1 day there to claim Fla residency, right? Then you can tell Murphy to go pound sand for his invome tax...
  4. It took 10 months for my whole-house generator to come in and another 2 months to get it installed. Replacement windows are 5-6 months out. In-ground pools are sold out through 2022 at least. And the worst one - I sent door panels in for restoration for a car project almost 2 YEARS ago and they still haven't been worked on due to staffing shortages.
  5. Moved to NH several years ago to escape NJ politics and be closer to family, and for retirement/tax purposes. Family is in MA but there was no way in hell I was moving there.

The small LGS I use up here in NH has a waiting list of 15 people for this. His distributor has them on backorder with a limit of 5 per store at a time. To say it's in high demand is a major understatement...
  7. If you were a real friend you'd convince your "friend" to never wonder about that ever again. Tell him he should have some pride...
  8. This. If anyone is held accountable it will be whoever told him it was a "cold" gun. But he certainly bears some responsibility along with anyone else in the chain of custody (and him again because he's the producer). We all know/feel he should have checked it himself since he was the final person in the chain of custody. In the liberal mind it's the gun's fault. No gun = no death, so he won't be held accountable. I doubt even a New Mexico prosecutor would file charges against him. Unfortunately, he's so arrogant I believe he'll just blame someone else for it and just move on with his life. The insurance will cover a settlement and it won't cost AB anything - not even his conscience.
  9. Thanks, they had what I wanted, and prices were decent.
  10. Hi all, I picked up a Armalite AR15 rifle that had some ugly work done to it. Got it cheap so I'm looking to build a retro AR but the on-line sources seem to be out of parts. All I really need is a fixed rifle stock (the solid one-piece non-adjustable A1-A4 style) and a full-length triangle handguard and end plate. Anyone got some laying around and would be willing to ship? Happy to Venmo or Paypal. Thanks.
  11. When I was in NJ I would get 6 at a time, and the only downside to getting that many a time is the incentive to actually use them. I can't count the number of times I bought a handgun just because I had a permit and didn't want to see it expire...
  12. Right on William St at the river. The bigger piles of stuff at the curb.
  13. Just down the street from you. Near corner of Grove and William.
  14. I have rental properties in Somerville. One of them took 2 feet of water on the first floor, completely submerging the basement. Pics from outsiede show the water up to the tops of the detached garage doors. Its a duplex, both tenants lost everything that wasn't on the second floor. Anything outside washed away, to be replaced by other stuff from upstream. Disaster doesnt begin to describe what the area looks like. Imagine taking everything you own and throwing it into a pile on the front lawn.
  15. He probably made a deal - he'd resign if the "investigations" quietly went away.
  16. According to the Standard Catalog of S&W, 4rth Edition, the 27-2 with N prefix and 3.5" bbl was made from 1969 to 1978. I don't see any further breakdown by s/n. Getting it lettered from S&W would give a reasonably close production date.
  17. Enjoy. Just remember to check the Jersey attitude at the border. Folks outside NJ don't know how to deal with it...
  18. Thanks for re-posting. I was a lifeguard back in the late 70's at the condo complex where we lived. I'm 16/17, skinny as hell and hated dealing with people, but it was a great job. One crowded Saturday a mother was standing next to her infant on the pool steps across from my stand. She was busy flirting with some guy when her son stepped off the steps and started flailing. I come jumping across the pool, pick him out of the water and hand him to her - she starts yelling at me that I splashed her. Before I could respond her son puked water all over her and started crying. The rest of the pool went silent and I told her it would probably be best if she left. I never saw her the rest of the summer. NEVER let your kids out of sight.
  19. Competition for the Darwin Award is fierce...
  20. I'm selling this one, but it's a bit of a hike for you... https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/windham-2006-f150-xl-4x4-work-truck/7319129713.html
