  1. Mags yes, rifle no. Don'tcha just love NJ? /Facepalm
  2. Do you have a source re: gun grabber? Not saying you're wrong, but I can't find anything on this
  3. Thanks for posting! Picked up a case
  4. Thanks, Pizza Bob! So nice of you to write it up like this for us
  5. Let's hope so. Remember, NJ and the Third Circuit don't care what happens in DC. This would only matter if a) some NJ case makes it to SCOTUS, and b) the Supremes decide they want to resolve the circuit split, and c) the Supremes agree with us. Let's cross our fingers.
  6. This. Without a boatload of denials to prove our point, our argument is pure hearsay. No judge is going to care that NJ has a reputation of de facto no-issue: we need to have the irrefutable data to prove it. ETA: Props to mipa for predicting "even DC will get carry before NJ." (You know this I-told-you-so is coming, right? )
  7. This would be a complete non-issue in almost any other state in the country. I'm completely sick of NJ ignoring the United States Constitution. No victim, no crime. F this state.
  8. You're welcome! Glad somebody found it useful lol
  9. I know Palmetto State Armory has taken a little flack on this forum as of late, but this is a pretty good deal. GSG 1911-22 for $200, after rebate. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/catalog/product/view/id/897/
  10. For this purpose, Microsoft Surface Pro is the best option around. The Pro line runs a full Windows 8 operating system so it will literally do EVERYTHING your desktop can do. I needed to replace a 4 y.o. laptop around Christmas time and went with the Surface Pro 2. I bring it in to work for work things (full MS Office suite, statistics software, etc.), bring it home for web surfing/Netflix/talking on gun forums, and even use it to take notes in class with OneNote 2013 (the stylus recognition is AWESOME). The attachable keyboard will make you forget it's not a laptop, so you can get real work done. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the Surface Pro 2 screen dimensions: it's kind of a short and long rectangle. But they fixed that with the Surface Pro 3, which just came out (and I plan on getting it as soon as $ becomes available). I highly recommend the Surface Pro 3
  11. Adding to those who have posted above, it is specifically for magazines that are capable of feeding ammunition into a SEMI-automatic firearm. If the magazine is ONLY capable of feeding ammo into a pump/lever/bolt action firearm, you can have it as big as you want. E.g., you can make a custom 100-round Mosin magazine, as long as it only works with Mosins. Or you can extend the tube on a pump/lever gun 100 feet out in front of the barrel. Good luck using it, though
  12. Option 3 is the jury box, but good luck getting the other 11 statist jurors to nullify. I think we have a few options left before the cartridge box becomes necessary. Check out Gun for Hire episode 162 re: recall elections http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php/topic/70457-gfh-radio-162-governor-chris-christy-vetos-10-round-bill/
  13. Nice. For any interested parties, I have a few Mec-Gar 10 rounders and love them. Solidly built and they feed perfectly. I expect the 15 rounders would perform similarly. Great price here, too!
  14. In principle, agree with you. But political parties are private organizations so you have to play by their private rules. Primary Elections are traditionally only open to party members, but this let's you "game" the system. Your paperwork-free "civil right to vote" is what the General Election is for. Think about this way: You're not filling out an extra form to vote. You're filling out an extra form to pit the two-party system against itself. (If you refuse to do something as simple as this, then what ARE you willing to do?) ETA: Apologies to OP and the forum at large for thread drift
  15. I understand where you're coming from, and I agree with you 100%. However, the gentlemen below are correct: Double check that you are Unaffiliated because "Independent" and "Unaffiliated" are not the same thing according to the glorious state of NJ. If you are "Independent" you cannot vote in the Republican or Democrat primaries. If you are "Unaffiliated" you can vote in either one, but doing so will cause the County to automatically register you as a member of that party "for your convenience." However, you can immediately de-register again by filling out this form and mailing it to your county's Commissioner of Registration/Superintendent of Elections at the correct address for your county. Just mail the form a day or two after the election and you'll never even have time to enter "the system" so your non-party principles will remain unmolested.
  16. This is by far the most powerful way to use your vote, and we need to spread this message far and wide. (Unfortunately I live in LD22, where Jerry Green and Linda Stender ran unopposed in the 2013 Demo. primary )
  17. I won't beat the dead horse anymore than it already is, but if you're set on moving here please be an "active" gun owner. Aka join the NRA, NJ2AS (New Jersey Second Amendment Society), ANJRPC (Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs), etc and VOTE. Jersey has some of the lowest voter turnout in the nation, so please be part of the solution rather than the problem Also, beware of the temptation to vote down party lines. Some people say "just vote Republican," but there are some R's who vote anti-gun and some D's who vote pro-gun (e.g. Jeff Van Drew is a dem but he sponsors pro gun bills EVERY YEAR without fail) Welcome to the machine
  18. Good on you! Still having trouble with my gf... The anti propaganda got to her when she was really young
