  1. Raleigh-Durham is a nice area, I was looking down there last year. Lots of stuff going on
  2. The poor widow probably has no idea what it's worth... I feel bad for her
  3. Spicy brown mustard, onions, and melted sharp cheddar..... Heaven <3
  4. This, this, a thousand times this.
  5. Those maps are awesome. +1 for including Central Jersey
  6. Welcome from the Fanwood donut hole! Wow, with this many SPF gun owners we might actually be able to vote out Linda Stender!
  7. NJ is only a lost cause if we play clean. We need to start playing dirty: run pro gun people as Dems to infiltrate the party, primary out the incumbents for corruption, then do a 180 in favor of 2A once elected. Combine this with a word of mouth, person to person sea change for gun culture. This has been suggested a million times before by people who are more cunning/savvy than I am... and I think it is our only hope for change in NJ.
  8. Looks good! Love the "sticky note" effect for the 15 rounds note
  9. Taking your cues from the NJ penal system?
  10. Believe me, I understand the point that you and everyone else is making (I do NOT have a defeatist attitude, nor does the OP if you read what he wrote). I was at the winter 2013 Assembly hearing with Jon the Mod and we sat with/argued with a woman who claimed to have helped pass this stupid very same smart gun law. We argued til I was blue in the face. I haven't given up on this or any other issue that we're fighting for. All I'm saying this: If you start out thinking it applies to all guns, and then you learn it only applies to a SUBSET of guns... then it's not as bad as you initially thought. It is an empirically better position for all gun owners, period. Obviously not as good as if the law were repealed, but if your mindset goes from all banned to some banned, then your mood should improve. (Again, I agree with you philosophically: it's a terrible law, and it is NOT good that it applies to handguns. But if the law does get activated and we have to think about civil disobedience, I prefer to commit fewer felonies rather than more: so in that regard, bad law applying to less guns is not as bad as a bad law applying to more guns.) All of this is besides the point. Jumping down the throat of a new member and possibly alienating them from the forum, and hence NJ2AS activism, is not a winning strategy. We don't have enough gun owners in NJ to insult each other and yell at each other over semantics.
  11. Oh please, guys, quit piling on the new guy like an angry mob. It is emphatically better that the law apply only to one class of firearms than ALL firearms. I think mechman was just saying "well it could be worse." That doesn't mean he agrees with the damn thing! Nor does it seem like he's content to rest on his laurels just because he "doesn't care about handguns." Tensions are high as we wait for news about Drake, we're all a little hotblooded at the moment. Let's not start turning on each other for semantics.
  12. As a fellow millennial, I vouch for the awesomeness of this instruction manual. But you forgot the most important part: is it pronounced image-uhr or im-grr ?
  13. Great news! I've never gotten them so fast from him, but I think that's because my references are slow. Glad to hear he's cool about extending them.
  14. As a fellow programmer, this ^ But more importantly, this ^
  15. If they did that, 90% of the people on this forum would bitch and moan about the "dirty rotten price gouging"
  16. Thanks for this, just listened to the first ep and I'm already hooked! For any Harry Potter fans on here, check out Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality. Instead of him being a naïve kid who just gets lucky, he's a diabolically smart Artemis Fowl type (wow, I've really dated myself here). http://www.hpmorpodcast.com/
