We are required to keep a bound book for ATF audits. Only have to log in C&R guns acquired after receiving the C&R. We can be audited up to once per year.

If you want a good place to eat there are a ton near Dupont Circle. The national mall is a lot longer than it seems its a pretty far walk from the Capital to the Lincoln Memorial. The Newseum is cool but a little expensive definitely worth it, you can touch a piece of the Berlin Wall. It says dont touch but everybody touches it. The Holocaust Museum is great. I would make it a point to see it.

I live just outside DC at the University of Maryland in College Park we have a Metro stop on campus. You dont need a car you can Metro to the general area then walk almost anywhere. Georgetown is nice to check out but there are no Metro stops. Do not go into South East. Im not sure if the Washington Memorial is still closed from that earthquake a couple years ago. You cant bring a knife into the air and space museum or the capitol building if you go on a tour, I forgot I had mine once. You can bring a knife into the art museums for some reason. I thought the same thing. Thats what confused me when I asked my ATF inspector. The person said that I would have to find somebody willing to do it and fill out a P2P. However I believe if I were to fill out a P2P with someone out of state the State Police would probably come and arrest me.

When I had my interview with the ATF people before getting my C&R my investigator said you cannot but really wasnt sure. If I ever come across something I have to have outside NJ I would call the NJ ATF people first before doing anything.

My c&r just came in. Too bad I wont have the money to buy two pistols at once for a long time.

If it were me I would definitely ask for the money up front and ask him to find a different FFL.

If that doesnt work and there is no bleeder, try parking the car on an incline or putting ramps under the front wheels that way the rad cap is definitely the highest point. Then take the rad cap off and bleed. Also I like to burp my hoses when filling with coolant. Basically grab and release the upper hose a couple times, you will see the level drop as you forced some air out of the system.

My gen 3 od g17 looks closer to fde than od.

Generally, you shouldn't need to check the headspace on a mosin unless you have reason to believe it is out of spec. If the bolt number matches the rifle serial I wouldnt worry about it. That being said the safe thing to do would be to check it before firing.

Or you could opt in and make a small faraday cage to put around the thermostat to block the signal.

What I did on mine was take a thin nail like you would use to hang a picture frame with and used that as a pin. I drilled the stock and tube rail just bigger than the nail, cut the nail so it was flush with the hole, coated the nail in jb weld, put it in, epoxied over the hole, then painted the expoy black. Then I repeated on the other side.

Sweet. Ramsey outdoor is great they will let you fondle anything. I usually deal with Jim he is a really nice guy as is a wealth of advice.

Also, it is town dependent if they will renew it some will while others wont.

Before I got my FID I went to Ramsey Outdoor and told them right away I dont have an FID but I applied 2 months ago. They let me handle anything I wanted.

From a car an oil analysis perspective, Mobile 1 really isnt a good oil. I use Rotella T t6. It has a great additive pack and in general is the best cheaper oil you can run. Tons of high pressure additives and can be found almost anywhere. I use it in my Mosin, Glock, Ar, and Marlin. It works great.

This was posted on a DC area gun forum i frequent. An actual DC officer said that they have specifically been told not to arrest out of town people for spent casings.
