Another Neighbor tree smashes my fence, c'mon now!
brucin replied to AlDente67's topic in General Discussion
I have the same problem. My neighbors tree has a large dead branch that is over my house and deck. I asked them to take care of it but they cry poverty. I looked into paying for it myself but the tree service wanted $1500 to take it down. It's high up and not accessible with heavy equipment. My insurance deductible is $500. I reported it to my insurance co (they were here estimating some damage from the same tree) and they said "we can't pay for anything until it falls" so they rather be on the hook for several thousand in repairs and I refuse to pay more than my deductible to remedy the situation. -

I would try and reason with your step brother and even try to purchase your fathers guns back but failing that If there is a litigation angle I would use it. I say this because a similar thing happened in my family. My uncle and avid sportsman and collector passed away with no will and his second wife instead of giving the gun collection to my cousin (son of the 1st wife) sold them to strangers. Included in the collection were my grandfathers custom engraved browning O/U shotgun and service revolver which my grandfather had left to his oldest son, my uncle. My cousin contacted a lawyer but was told in NJ it was her property to do with as she pleased. Those heirlooms are gone from my family forever. Don't let that happen to you if you can help it.

Try RTSP. They have a pretty good rental selection of .22 handguns. Here is their current list but they may have more. H&R Sportsman 9 Shot (Revolver) Ruger SR-22 GSG 1911-22 Beretta Neos Browning BuckMark Camper Ruger Mark II Sig Sauer Mosquito Smith & Wesson 22-A Smith & Wesson M&P22 Smith & Wesson Model 617 Taurus Tracker Umarex Colt Gold Cup

I love my maglula because now I don't have to load my wife's magazines.

I shot both and discovered that i'm not a huge fan of striker fired pistols. That being said I preferred the S&W over the Glock based solely on the way it felt in my hand. You can't really go wrong with either.

Help me diffuse this anti's statistics

I could take this more seriously if it didn't include a legal medical procedure as the top cause of death. -
Sometimes that may not be enough. I bought a 14' Sea-Doo challenger that I had the seller take up to Hopatcong so I could water test it. It ran great so I bought it. Took it up to my place in the Adirondacks and the second time I took it out the engine failed. completely lost compression and the boat would not plane. Long story I had to replace the entire engine. The head was cracked and water had gotten in the block. I ended up paying as much for the engine as I did for the boat but it's been running great for 10 years.

I always do the hold on line (several times a year) and never had a problem except that on a few occasions they did not restart my delivery.

I watched it last night and all my wife and I could say was that revolver guy should have just shot the perp. Never give up the element of surprise. It did add more drama to have the perps daughter hit by the stray round and then have the perps wife put one in the perp but that's Hollywood, "Drama Queens". Who liked the Stew Maker episode?

Depending on what I'm putting it on Sriracha. Heat Chipolte Slam, and D.L. Jardines Habanero are my three favorites with McIlhenny's a standard. I like the sauce to add flavor as well as heat. I really like Sriracha on raw oysters and clams.

Beer flavored water in my opinion.

Advice on 22lr handgun for plinking & fun

I believe RTSP in Randolph has the same rent by caliber policy. I'm not sure what they have to rent in the way of .22 but if you check their website they list them there. -
National Concealed Carry Reciprocity Bill
brucin replied to bignic83's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
"Home State" is the key here. If the state you live in issued the permit then this law would cover you. They way I read it is citizens of states that issue CCW's would be able the carry in NJ. Citizens of NJ would stil SOOL. No surprise there. -
This is one of my favorite scotches but I gave up scotch once the price of everything I liked went over $50 a bottle. I'm a bourbon drinker now and like all the ones you mentioned in a previous post. and pretty much agree with everything you said about bourbon. Totally disagree with you on this scotch. I also love LaGavullin (sp)

Happy New Year to all. -
The couple completely staged that after seeing the Google van out taking pics. Absolutely brilliant. My wife and I would have done the same thing if we saw it and it existed 30 years ago.

I just watched the last episode available on Netflix last night. Thankfully a friend at work is going to loan me the DVD's so I can watch the last 8. That show is as addictive as Walter's product.
