Hot Weather | Locked Cars - Danger to Kids... & Pets, too
AlexTheSane replied to Mrs. Peel's topic in General Discussion
I've almost driven to work without dropping my daughter off at daycare before. Only have to take one step further to forget the child in the car completely. I can't imagine being the parent whose mistake causes the death of their child. -

Why would a guy named Taylor invent Pork Roll?
AlexTheSane replied to BobA's topic in General Discussion
I don't think anyone is actually getting offended. To play devil's advocate, I think the brand name analogy isn't quite right. It's not that Taylor Ham is a type of pork roll and people call them different things. The Taylor company was forced to stop calling it ham because of what could legally be called ham at the time. But in defense of your argument. People still call Kraft singles cheese, when it's a "Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product." -
I'd pay $20 for a live stream of this road trip.

Blue crab are some of the greatest things ever. Maryland can't make a pizza worth a crap, but nothing beats sitting outside in the summer picking blue crabs.

Fixed it for you. -
My Gen1 Sub2k is a .40. Seems like I have fewer problems with it than the 9mm owners.

You can even take a hacksaw to the grip to shorten it to fit the 19

Yes, he can keep his angel hair nests. But I'm mandating at minimum orzo for everyone. Nevermind, He can't keep his angel hair nests.

I agree if you never eat beans, you shouldn't stockpile beans. But I'm talking about storing a different kind of pasta because it's easier to store, not a completely different food.

Vacuum seal orzo or elbows. If it's an emergency situation, I don't think you're going to care so much how the delicate texture of the angel hair works nicely in your pasta primavera.

"The last thing I want to do after saving, planning, and storing food is to open it and find that nasty little creatures have already devoured it. One way to combat this is to freeze it. I’ve read recommendations from 4 days up to 2 weeks in a deep freeze. That should kill any adult insects and prevent them from laying any more eggs. It may kill the eggs themselves. Another way is to deprive them of oxygen. All insects need it to live, so removing it should cause them to die. That is why many people use oxygen absorbers in their bulk food when they seal it up in mylar bags. Using dry ice can accomplish the same thing. So, keep working on your food stores, but by all means, take the necessary steps to make sure it’s edible when you need it!"

I went to a small range in Georgia that did not allow steel cased ammo but allowed my aluminum cased. The employee took my entire box and ran a device over it that tested for magnetism and let me through.
