I use a Hornady Rapid Safe 2700kp. It is RFID activated and has a wall wart power supply with battery backup and a mechanical key lock. It does not use a biometrics.
  3. If he put his crockpot up for sale how could he follow your recipes?
  4. You won't damage the gun with any of these bullet weights. The point of impact will be slightly different and at short distances you will struggle to see the difference. The felt recoil is typically higher with lighter bullets but that also depends on the powder charge behind them. 9mm is often considered "snappy", more so with the lighter, higher velocity rounds. Lighter bullets are cheaper due to less lead in them so its a case of you pays your money and take your choice. Try them out and see what you like. 147gn and higher pays dividends if you get to shoot suppressed as they are usually subsonic.

Sorry - I don't have the capacity to take it all.

Can you post a picture of the computer table, please?
  8. That was really interesting. Turing did an amazing job on decrypting the Nazi Enigma machine. The code was too complicated to deterministically crack in a reasonable amount of time, so he came up with non-deterministic logic. This is essentially making the computer guess when it cannot really know. However, it worked often enough to make a difference because applying the guess was easily checked (the problem was in the set NP) and sometimes a message would be decrypted in time for the information contained within to be useful - e.g. rerouting a transatlantic convoy to avoid a U-boat wolfpack.
  9. Sorry - I missed this when you first asked. I have a set of gauges. I'm in Hunterdon Co. Where are you? Sorry to have to say this, but the whole point of checking the headspace is to make sure it is safe to fire.
  10. 17,000 rounds will wear out a mag catch. No problems after it was swapped out.
  11. 9mm is .355. Way over .30 caliber. Also handguns are not allowed, so I would doubt handgun calibers get any kind of exemption.
  12. It would be disrespectful for me, having only met him for the first time today, to agree with you. I didn't mean that you were disrespectful, only that it would have been if I'd said it.
  13. I'll not be disrespectful to HE. He out shot me handily today. I'm sure it would have been closer if I didn't repeatedly drop my mags on the ground in the middle of an exercise.
  14. And the rain was indeed warm. Good to meet you today. Looking forward to meeting up with the rest of you on the 6th.
  15. Don't run it in that state any more than you really have to. Unburnt gas will be making it's way down the exhaust and will mess up the cat.
  16. If you want big try the Glock 41 - someone some of us know who has particularly small hands described it as "8 inches of awesomeness, but it just doesn't fit in my hand!" before selling it on. Note, all the double stack .45 Glocks have the same grip circumference and trigger reach - that's how the longer mags work in the shorter guns. I find them too big and blocky to shoot well.
  17. You have to be careful with an extra long receiver extension - with the brace fully extended the LoP cannot be more than 13.5" or the ATF deems it to be a stock, not a brace. With something like an SBA3 you can only go about 3/4" over a standard carbine receiver extension and still be able to use all the brace adjustment positions.
  18. In my opinion you'd be fine then, but I am not a lawyer nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. I would ask you this, if you're worried about the future legality of a Non-NFA and are OK with turning it into a rifle, why not just build a rifle to start with?
  19. No, you can't. With a brace instead of a stock you would be making it into a pistol. If you put on an upper without a vertical forward grip it stops being a Non-NFA. Without a stock it is not a rifle. You would have a pistol that weighs waaaay more than 50oz and that is banned in NJ.
  20. I'm in for the pistol class on Saturday. I guess I'll finally get to meet you @High Exposure
  21. I just booked in for the carbine class - It's about time I learned to run it properly. See you guys there. I'm on standby for the pistol class this Saturday too. ETA: I just looked it up and it's just down the road from EFGA, right? That's only 45 minutes from my house!
  22. What do they charge? I can't see any pricing on their web site.
  23. 1-8x provides for a wider range of magnification than 1-4x, and includes all that 1-4x offers in terms of magnification. More is better, right? However, I can only assume that it comes with a cost in some other aspect of the scope. I would like to understand what that might be. I picked the Strike Eagle because it also retails at $399.
