  1. I guess it's another change for the worse that took place here in NJ. Doug wrote about shooting there when he was 16 yrs old which would have made it sometime in the late 1950s- early 60s. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  2. Checked my bank today and still no sign of check being cashed. However I called and they said my check was deposited on September 4th which was a Sunday (a little odd), but most importantly my license was mailed out on Tuesday. I'm hoping it is in the mail tomorrow. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  3. I was just reading a post by Doug Bowser and in it he talks about shooting his Springfield Trapdoor at 1,400 yds in Sea Girt NJ. I found an Army Report that said the 10 Ranges on 120 acres at Sea Girt National Guard Camp are environmentally safe. I read the National Matches were held in Sea Girt. also read about a Navy Range in Caldwell NJ. Now I know the NJSP rent space there for their Academy . My question is this 1,400 yd range Doug speaks of still accessible? Do they still hold competitions there? How does one get access to it? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  4. Can't go wrong with the Hirtenberg. Joe from Arizona who has an ad on multiple forums has it for .55/round actual shipping costs, or if you send him a label he will drop it off at FedEx or UPS. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I see the Keltec for sale at least once a day. Usually it is the Glock version. The Beretta version not so often. I personally don't mind the Beretta CX4 Storm, but it is at least 50% more expensive than the Keltec. I picked up a .45 CX4 Storm with accessories cheap. However magazines only hold 8 rounds. If you want more than 8 they are very expensive. I wouldn't buy high point anything. Personally I would get a Keltec it can be more compact and less expensive. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  6. Perfectly legal and useless as far as I can see. As a previous poster said buy a Keltec Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Good for you. Hopefully you moved to Free America Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  8. Russian and Romanian are the best. Albanian too but more rare. Chinese not far behind. Yugo are least respected but also least expensive. Expect to pay $750+ for Albanian. $500-$650 for Russian. $450-500 for Romanian and Chinese. Yugo $350-450 depending on condition. Matching numbers adds value. Personally I like the Romanian. 9. You want to read the map there should be 5 locations near the house site area with a number, this is your seasonable high water table. It needs to be 2' to not have a mounded system, but with the grade of the property which is the 8-15% you may still need a slightly mounded system if it is right at 2'. Just because there is are existing septic and well doesn't mean they work properly. Well and Septic should be 100' from each other. Slab should be 3' above the seasonable high water table. If water table is at 2' or less you will bringing in sand and clean fill. Basement will be above grade. At least by NJ standards. Garage under design works well with high water table and basement above ground. If property slopes correctly you could get a walk out basement. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  10. I don't think I'm understanding completely but for one you can pipe your sink around the first floor walls til you get to a location where you can drop down into the basement without crossing the stairs. You are allowed to use automatic air admittance valves for vent now in NJ (not on sewer ejector) Must be a Studor type vent not the little cheesy ones. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  11. Give it up we proved it is Pork Roll. Taylor Ham doesn't exist. Debate over Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  12. That's impossible with all the firearms laws we have in NJ. How could a prohibited person have a firearm? How could anyone have an illegal assault weapon? How could there be loaded firearms in a vehicle? Oh that's right criminals by nature don't follow the law. Just another example of how ineffectual gun control laws are. 13. I'm sorry but that is not being muzzle swept. I guess you never went to the old Brick Armory? When some moron on the line turns around to talk to his friend, swinging around his loaded pistol, that qualifies as muzzle swept. Went a few times after that, but always mid morning during the week when no one was there. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  14. I guess I will wait to call. Didn't have time to call yesterday Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  15. Their message says to call them if you haven't received anything after a month. A month came and went last week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I am in the same boat. My first application was lost. Sent in second 2 days before you. Also showed delivered to PO BOX. I called right away. They confirmed receipt, but still no check was cashed. Going to call again tomorrow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Yes. PA could care less about NJ Draconian laws. Only reason buying non compliant rifle is an issue is because of Federal NICS check and Federal licensing. If the rifle is legal in PA it can remain in PA and no one is going to bother you. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  18. They were referring to ones already legally owned. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  19. No reason to sell to gun store today unless they are going to pay you near market value. Even though I can't stand owners and mods gunboards has the most action on the trader, PAFOA is another good one, and of course the Ruger Forum as recommend. This forum for long guns is great but handguns may not be the best but it can't hurt to list it on all of them. Just post in listings it is cross posted. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  20. Try Remixer on the forum here. Steve from Monmouth Arms. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  21. Too late for that My first application was lost in mail. Second one sent July 27th Priority Mail. Called August 5th to confirm they got it because tracking said sent to PO Box. Going on 3 weeks no check cashed. Did they call references? I sent with Utah & Florida CCW copies plus NJ FID copy. Hopefully that didn't cause an issue. First time didn't send NJ FID but read others who were approved did so second time I included it. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  22. Actually there was not. I used a card I had only used at PSA and local Chinese Restaurant, nowhere else. Then when I got the replacement card I used it only at PSA. Again card stolen. It was likely an employee at PSA, not the company itself, but I won't buy from them again. SG Ammo has better prices. The quality of PSA rifles is sub standard at best IMO. Many others feel the same way. Check out Calguns and see how many PSA Rifles sit unsold. When a Stag or other decent AR type comes up for sale they sell rather quickly. Maybe their higher end line is ok, but if you ever go to resell it how many people are going to know the difference or bother looking into it? Many see PSA and just move on. 23. Tanners in PA has best selection. They also sell on gunbroker, but go in person. Their gunbroker listings are a little shady at times. For instance they were selling a 1935 Brazilian Mauser as an Embassy Rifle. In reality it was a 1935 barreled action with 1908 and 1912 parts. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  24. I will get one eventually but not while I live in this communist state. It has to be very annoying to break ammo down into 15 round strips. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  25. Nice looking Yugo do numbers match? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
