  1. If the Tavor is a thumbhole stock and not a pistol grip than you can have a flash hider. Not really sure if that is a thumbhole stock, but if NJSP say so a thumbhole stock it is. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  2. It only takes an hour and a half to convert.....if you put it together right the first time. Couple tricks I learned are use a rubber band to tie off the hammer springs, otherwise they will bite you. Make sure the hammer is in the correct way, springs are fully wound (3x), and on the correct side of the hammer. Hammer has to go in first. Tie fishing line around the bolt hold open spring, feed the line through the bolt hold open slot, pull down hard and maneuver in place with a thin hook. It helps to have a third hand ready to put the pin back in. After pin is in just pull real hard and snap off the fishing line. Here are my conversions. Russian AK-74 clone and East German MPi-KM clone. This is the extra Original Russian Sunburst AKM Stock set I have. Just needs the hand guard clips and gas tube. Pistol Grip screw, butt plate, and swivel are all there. Was going to do a third but with current prices two is enough. For the gas tube and clips go to http://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/Gas-System-c35.htm?pageStyle=h&ProdSort=3&page=3&idCategory=35&viewAll=yes For NJ Legal magazines http://www.charliecoopers.com/rifle-magazines/7-62x39/ t They shipped quick and they have every magazine you can think of blocked to 15 with epoxy floor plate. If you go with foreign made furniture you will need American Made Mags to be 922r compliant. The Magpuls in 7.62x39 I got to work flawlessly with and without the bullet guide. Just need to file down the lip on the back. The Tapco 5.45 Mags work without need for a bullet guide. The conversion parts (FCG, Trigger guard, lower hand guard retainer, bullet guide) I got them from http://www.dinzagarms.com/ Great customer service and parts have held up. Go with the deluxe conversion kit this way you can bend the existing trigger guard and cut the rivets with a grinder. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  3. Surprisingly Easton has many good restaurants. Haven't heard of Pop's but next time I am up that way I will give it a try. Any place that serves scrapple and pork roll (not Taylor Ham) must be good. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  4. Best insurance I found. Coversall firearms no matter where they are located and only had to itemize those over $10k in value. Got a $50k policy for $157 per year. [email protected] Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  5. Had credit card stolen twice at PSA. Buy a Stag upper much better product. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  6. Perfectly legal, but I also felt the Saiga 12 skeleton thumbhole was legal. I would buy it and not lose a minute of sleep over it. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  7. Here is a similar design http://riflestocks.com/store/a542.html Is made to attach stock to but just leave as is. ATF has said there is no restriction to removing the butt stock as long as rifle is at least 26" and barrel is at least 16". Simply plugging the receiver of an AK it still meets both requirements. I see nothing in NJ law that would make it illegal either. Why someone would want to do it is a whole other thing. They aren't the most accurate rifle to begin with, but to each their own. OP I'm sure will have to do Mod himself (which would be easy enough) because no NJ FFL that cares about their license would want to be involved. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  8. My understanding is it is literally just a plug. Trying to find picture. Another option would be to buy a cheap Bulgarian butt stock and cut it flush with the metal. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  9. You can get an East German Stock plug for NJ Legal AK Rifle called a Schmeisser Style stock used to be sold by Federal Arms Corp. Now you have a legal AK pistol that meets all rifle requirements. Not sure what you plan on shooting with it. I would be willing to bet you couldn't hit a 24" target at 50yds consistently. 10. I have a really nice Real Russian Sunburst AKM 4 Piece Stock Set for $175. I converted both of my Saigas and they are so much better for it. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  11. Found a site charliecoopers.com that has Tapco (Made in USA) 15/30 AK-74 magazines plus many other 15 round magazines. Not the best prices, but great selection. Another site jesticearms.com has 15/30 AK-47 magazines, 15/40 AR-15 magazines, and 15/20 AR-10 magazines at better prices but no response to email or phone so I just ordered from Charlie Coppers. 12. What's with everyone living in North Jersey giving away ammo? Where are the Western Monmouth Ammo Giveaways. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  13. I've only had one 7.5 Swiss PPU not go off, one 8mm Mauser PHC Greek, and one 7.62x25 Hollow Point New Production. I don't reload yet, so I wasn't too worried about pulling them. Also never actually pulled a bullet so I didn't know how easy it would be with pliers. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  14. The reason we have all these unconstitutional laws is because too many in this state are willing to accept it. "The amount of Tyranny you get, is the exact amount you put up with" Thomas Jefferson. Build the 80% lower in PA bring it back. It's not a pistol no NJ permit needed. If building a pistol as legal resident of another state bring it here. It was legally purchased in another state as a resident of that state. When is the last time anyone asked to see your rifle paperwork? Stamp a serial on it if your really worried. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  15. I have been stopped by Coast Guard twice. Never boarded just asked to see paperwork and life vests. Very nice and happy they are out there. Most likely if owner of boat didn't mention firearms they wouldn't have been found and he wouldn't have been arrested. Lesson here is do not volunteer any information to any law enforcement. Probably better to not even answer questions when asked and invoke your right to remain silent. I have always had good relations with the police, but the more I read, the less I feel a need to say anything. It's a shame that things are going down this path in America. It's becoming an us against them mentality LEOS are starting to all go by the book. Gone are the days of community policing and protect and serve. Now many are military trained. NYPD is trained by Israelis. American Citizens are being treated like insurgents. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  16. Nice. If OP was South of the Raritan River I would have driven to get it too. I thought thread was a joke. Who gives away ammo? Just out of curiosity what do you guys do with misfires. I have only had 3 of them (I buy good ammo), but I don't have a bullet puller so I just buried them in a hole about 2' deep. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  17. Seems sawed off shotgun is banned no matter what she carries penalty of 5 years. If found he was using it for grow operation penalty doubles to 10yrs Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  18. So where does NJ Law stand on a flare gun or gas gun? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  19. That is exactly what he used the launcher for. A local guy who legally makes fireworks made the flares for him. The coke is definitely personal use. The sawed off I think is really bad. At least that has always been my understanding of them. The one he had was an old rusted out hunk of junk, but doesn't one need a federal tax stamp for AOW for sawed off? Aren't they are illegal in NJ regardless? Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  20. You can carry in PA with a NH permit until the AG changes NH status, which I don't think will happen anytime soon, she has other things to worry about. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  21. Pot Plants could say personal use? Grenade Launcher if not on AR is it even illegal? Sawed Off Shotgun while running a drug production facility screwed? http://www.app.com/story/news/crime/2016/07/26/grenade-launcher-found-howell-pot-bust/87576056/ Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  22. Unbelievable mine got lost in the mail. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  23. Deal with a local FFL. Steve at Monmouth Arms can get you what you are looking for likely at a better price. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  24. I'm thinking mine got lost in the mail. Going to call again tomorrow. It's been a month and check has not been cashed. Should have sent priority. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  25. Just wanted to clarify a couple things. Yes they should have above the minimum liability. However a sole proprietor operator who has no employees does not need workman's comp, only contractors with employees do. Obviously we have workman's comp, but a guy who paints houses by himself may not. That doesn't mean he is in the wrong. Also it is not common for homeowners to be named as additionally insured unless their homeowners policy requires it. Naming as additionally insured or designated certificate holder is more common with commercial work. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
