1ST TIME I EVER SAW THIS! NJ GUN LAW
father-of-three replied to Downtownv's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
The njsp would probably come across as being slightly helpful by adding "hand gun" and keeping the FPID in context. I like things simple....or as simple as possible. -
I agree, but our supposedly-now-unified country's political parties and branches of government are arguing amongst them selves as to who gets the "real" credit for this debt bomb... https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/531217-relief-bills-passage-sets-off-scramble-to-declare-victory-assign-blame It may take a month to do, but this sounds like the perfect bill for the President to apply the line-item veto to (yes, I realize that may not even be an option, but it would be so cool...)

One of my "starters" was a pocket 380 with a long double action only trigger pull....Lots of initial flinching and recoil there! I remember going to a range with my brother for short periods of time with limited ammo and having limited success. It wasnt until I spent long periods of time at outdoor state gameland ranges that I finally got good at shooting that gun, as well as a few others.

father-of-three replied to SMOKIE901's topic in Concealed Carry
The only drawback for the Florida permit is that you need a new fingerprint card with each renewal.- 103 replies

Doherty appears to be one of the last vestiges of conservatism in this state. My Assemblymen (Petersen and Demaio) who appear to be losing their conservatism, purposefully abstained instead of voting no, which I find frustrating as a voter. They did the same thing when the vote was up in 2018 to turn the state's duty to warn law into a gun control law. Codey, who was a reported "mental health champion" for a few years, voted to turn the duty to warn law into a gun control law. It is a (planned) shame that those in support or this law assume that those who don't support it are prejudiced.

Where Do Our Guns Come From?
father-of-three replied to Pizza Bob's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I miss making longarm purchases in Pennsylvania. I had a few internet purchases, most were on the inexpensive side, including a Phoenix hp22 that I have had NO problems with! -
I love history lessons like this!

The sights on mine take some time adjusting. Otherwise, I like them, especially for the price.

So sad. I remember not too long ago when the same thing happened in Flemington.

mental health questions
father-of-three replied to revenger's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I'm glad she won. It was difficult to understand how far the psychiatric screening process went by the wording of the article, as New Jersey, in this process, appears to hold voluntary psychiatric care in the same light as involuntary psychiatric care. Many other states, including Pennsylvania, draw the "line" at involuntary psychiatric care, which can still be expunged, but not without lots of funds. -
Yes. He was quite clear when the gentleman from the 2A society was getting nowhere with him earlier this year with gun stores and essential services. Logically speaking (I know...my first mistake in this state) other than a total gun ban, the opposition never states what is the logical opposite of "gun violence" is.

Projected Impact of Dem Win on G&A
father-of-three replied to SJG's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Australia also has a higher number in their mass shooting definition (5 or more) to keep their numbers lower now that they have a gun ban. -
Online News Source To Replace Drudge Report
father-of-three replied to Sniper's topic in General Discussion
Yep. There was no sign of the used-to-be-common drudge debate poll for Thursday. I think the change was intentional.
