Anyone on the board over 65 may have read about the StayNJ 'property tax cut' program both sides are crowing about. That's where they 'cut' seniors' taxes to entice them to stay in NJ. Anyone buying that? If you are, read this:

Typical all or nothing mentality common with those on the right.

I find it interesting N.J. dems would even propose something that "might" reduce the tax burden for anybody in N.J.

Tedesco intimated this week the shortfalls in Bergen County, blaming Covid, business closures, inflation, etc. Their budget won’t be released for approval until July, but he’s laying the groundwork for an increase in taxes.

They must have realized their StayNJ proposition is widely regarded as bullshit. So give them a little tease to tide them over till they're (Murphy) outta here.

The plan includes an immediate boost in property tax relief for senior renters and homeowners under the current Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters (ANCHOR) program. Eligible senior tenants will now see their relief increased by more than 35 percent to $700 per year and homeowners will receive $1,250 or $1,750, depending on their income.
