gunsmith to install sights

I'm looking for a gunsmith to install a Dawson-Heinie sight set on my Glock 34.

 

Can anyone recommend someone near Jersey City? Would BulletHole or Caso's be good for this kind of work? They're closest.

I just replaced the factory sights with Dawson Precsion Sevigny Competition - Fiber Optic Mix sights. I had to file the base of the rear sight a lot to get the sight so that it was only sticking out about a quarter of an inch. I then pounded it in all the way with a small hammer and a 3/8" wooded dowe. The installation took about half an hour. One thing to remember, the rear sight notch is narrowest in the middle. Once the sight gets past that point, you have file the bottom of the base enough. The factory sight really sux. I pushed it out with a wooded dowl and just pressed with my hand. It has to get loose and screw up your point of aim.

i just came on here to see if i can find someone to install sights on a 1911.

I second this. I really don't want to send my XD slide back to Springfield only to have them install sights I am not thrilled with. I want some TruGlo TFO's on that beast!

I would imagine you couldn't be considered a gunsmith if you couldn't install sights.

 

bring it to any gunsmith you are comfortable with.

Marco at Paterson Gunsmithing did my Novak rear sight for my Beretta 92fs, no complaints, reasonably priced, gave me the target used to zero it.

In the end, I bought a sight pusher and installed them myself. It was pretty easy, but the sight pusher is expensive for what it is. I've had fun modifying my glock. Also did a drop in trigger and firing pin.
