I wonder what 1911 manufactures are offering up for john moses browning's model 1911 100th anniversary?

 

will colt have a trade mark for this ? or will it be an open market?

 

will their be military tributes to the 1911?

 

The idea's are just flowing..

I'm saving up for getting another 1911 in 2011, as I'm sure there will be some interesting one-off commemorative designs done in good taste.

 

As for the Wilson Specops 9, as sacrilegious as that concept may seem to 1911 purists, I really want to shoot one.

9mm is not a real 1911...In my humble opinion...

 

Once I told someone I was going to shoot USPSA with a 9mm and he said "shoot a .45 like a real man..."

LOL!!!

 

Now im hooked! I mean, what is better on double taps? Ive shot a few guns and so on, but nothing bangs like a 1911 in .45 auto...they way it was meant to bang!

I can understand this point of view, but if you really like the 1911 form-factor, and assuming the pistol is reliable in this caliber, why wouldn't you own one? Aside from the price, that is.
