tony357 386 Posted February 20, 2010 I wonder what 1911 manufactures are offering up for john moses browning's model 1911 100th anniversary? will colt have a trade mark for this ? or will it be an open market? will their be military tributes to the 1911? The idea's are just flowing.. I see a big market for next year at least for the first couple month's..

Thats better than the FNP's 15+1, and the XD's and Glocks 13+1! If it had a rail it would be perfect, like me.

nott 0 Posted February 20, 2010 I'm saving up for getting another 1911 in 2011, as I'm sure there will be some interesting one-off commemorative designs done in good taste. As for the Wilson Specops 9, as sacrilegious as that concept may seem to 1911 purists, I really want to shoot one.

Guest Posted February 22, 2010 9mm is not a real 1911...In my humble opinion... Once I told someone I was going to shoot USPSA with a 9mm and he said "shoot a .45 like a real man..." LOL!!! Now im hooked! I mean, what is better on double taps? Ive shot a few guns and so on, but nothing bangs like a 1911 in .45 auto...they way it was meant to bang! nott 0 Posted February 22, 2010 I can understand this point of view, but if you really like the 1911 form-factor, and assuming the pistol is reliable in this caliber, why wouldn't you own one? Aside from the price, that is.
