As agents clear out Mexican gangs, more brutal ones move in

Recommended Posts

Most gangs with Mexican mafia/drug cartel ties in the States already are primarily consisted of US citizens anyway.

Look at how the underworld in our own area changed after the FBI and other elements went after Cosanostra and Bloods really hard in the past two decades. Those families have been replaced by organized crime/gang elements that are just as bad/ruthless... whether we're talking about the eastern Europeans, Asians, etc. The problems with organized crime really have nothing to do with border security... at least I don't see the correlation.

The concern that does have to be addressed though in regards to border security and organized crime/gangs is the possibility for international syndicates, and its possible catastrophic damage to targets on US soil. The concern of "terrorists" jumping the border are warranted, but unlikely. However, materials or people being smuggled by organized crime/gang elements does present a hell of a problem considering how refined their processes are currently. Though, the question then is if an organized crime/gang element would benefit any from having its own backyard used as a target-- possibly hurting them or their business. It obviously gets more muddied and complicated as you delve further.

My take on it is as the Mexican govt cracks down and hopefully breaks up these cartels they will run towards America through it's open borders.

Much of Mexico's cartel personnel were people who learned the trade in Columbia and came to Mexico when Columbia cracked down on them.

We need to seal the borders now to prevent this and the damage to our economy that is happening at this very moment do to the massive flow of cheap labor from Mexico.
