CPRPE 4 Posted February 17, 2011 Ok before I get flamed too badly... Yes i searched the archives. I am going to Vegas on Sunday to Thurs next week. From some posts last year it looks like the Gun Store is a cool place. For those who were lucky enough to go to SHOT this year, are there any new discoveries? No wives on this trip. 5 of us who recently turned 40 got the ok to go. Looking for some fun firearms and non firearms related cool stuff to do. Suggest away. sig2009 3 Posted February 17, 2011 If you have a car drive up to the Clark County Shooting Range in North Vegas and see what a real shooting range looks like! You can just walk the grounds or rent guns to shoot.
Babaganoosh 192 Posted February 17, 2011 My advice is to bring at least 3 times the money you think you will need.
JSF01 13 Posted February 17, 2011 The Hustler Club on Dean Martin Blvd off of I15 . Sign says Free Beer but don't know what the cover charge is. I was just TDY to Nellis AFB Its free drinks at the Hustler from 1600 to 1900 not sure what the cover charge is as I never had to pay it (military gets in for free) The Rock House has all you can drink drink for $10 wendsdays 2200-2400 dont know the cover charge there either(one of the guys I worked with soon to be wife worked there so we got in free there too.) The Gun Store is fun but expensive, though if you think about it its not that bad as a box of .45acp runs for about $44 at most places includding on base then factoring in all the taxes and what not they must have to pay. Theres a gun show the 26th and 27th which may be cool to check out.
Maksim 1,504 Posted February 17, 2011 Walk the strip, plenty of free stuff to do there. If you gamble... most of the casino clubs will have players cards you can sign up for, some will give you free slot money if you do. Dont be afraid to ask for comps (credit/free food, stuff like that). Know of the free shuttles that are around, otherwise Taxi's can start getting expensive unless you split the cabs. halbautomatisch 60 Posted February 17, 2011 Check out the Citadel - no range, but a cool gun shop, it's on the other side of I-15 from the strip (can't remember the name of the road it's on). The is also a good gun shop (can't remember the name) with a range on route 160 (or at least as I can recall) not to far from Bass Pro Shops.
