Christie's mistake was agreeing to allow the Bar assc. to vet his judge candidates. No surprise that bunch of liberals shot this down.

Smart politics. He wins both ways.. pleases the right for nominating Carrol, pleases the left by not making waves about the Bar Assoc.'s findings and quietly retracts the nomination.
