Interesting

I had a thought though. What about a 12 gauge upper?

12ga won't fit in the magwell. They do make a .410 upper for those poor schlubs that think 4.10 is useful for anything more than killing rats. :sarcastichand:

Thanks, I just checked that out.

And as far as your hatred of 410, I'm still waiting for someone to be willing to take a load of birdshoot to the face at contact distance. Or a load of buckshoot from across-the-room distance.

Yeah but birdshot from across-the-room distance is cake. Almost feels good.

The spread of 410 birdshot out of my public defender is crazy. I wouldn't use it for anything but shooting fun. Buckshoot all the way.

You know I'm just messin with ya, bud.

which would still be illegal? semi auto shotgun + pistol grip = problem?

Correct, just saying they exist, and I've seen em(at a range in PA). Very very cool, and impossible to tell that it's anything other than a regular AR unless you see where it shoots, or the extracted shell.

Jonny Boy! .410 slug ballisticly equivalent to a 44mag at the muzzle. Nothing to really sneeze at, up close!

Maybe Steph would want to take your load to the face but no thanks!

Not discrediting the .410 (I think its just fine) but I hate the argument of "Well I bet you wouldnt want to be shot with it...." because seriously, I wouldnt want to be shot with an air rifle. Does that mean its an effective self defense gun, because I refuse to get shot by it? No...

410 buckshot is nothing to sneeze at, and at self defense distances it's better than a 9mm or 38 special.

Why must you combat everything I say? I said right there I think its fine. I was simply nitpicking against the common argument used to defend rounds, the "I'm sure you wouldnt want to get shot with it" argument.

It's funny that after I read back my threads that it DOES seem that I'm being combative. I guess where just opposites, total opposites.
