275 gal home heating oil tanks

I will need a 275 gal. fuel oil tank in the near future. I can install it myself but google search only turns up environmental companies that do it. Anyone know who sells the tanks to regular folk? Thanks.

I just had mine replaced a few weeks ago, but my oil company (Petro) did it for me. I had no interest in installing my own given the necessary transfer of oil from old to new. I've never heard of being able to buy a tank, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. Good luck in your search.

East Brunswick Supply on rt. 18 in east brunswick sells them. I worked there a few summers and had the privilege of unloading them off flat beds.

keep an eye on craigslist, I replaced my 50 year old oil tank with a year old granby oil tank i picked up for 150 bucks.

 

alot of people who convert to gas just want the tank and whatever oil in it out of their hair.

 

 

Cut the old tank in half with a sawzall, then used my oxyacetylene torch outside to cut into smaller peices, then took it to the junk yard.

There's a place in Wharton, I believe it's called Universal Supply or something like that. They have heating oil equipment. I know there is another one in Cedar Knolls, but the name is escaping me.
