I've started perusing 1911's and I've noticed that one I'm considering comes with or without a threaded barrel. Is there any point in spending extra cash on the version with the threaded barrel in NJ?

I found my way onto a California-based gun forum recently saying that the FRS-15 rifle stock is cosmetically a good alternative to a pistol grip (debatable since this stock is still pretty funny looking). Since Californians are forbidden from having ANY evil features on a semi-automatic rifle with the ability to accept a detachable magazine, these stocks are becoming a popularity.*
Then the FRS-15 started to grow on me. Not in that I like the way it looks, but in the "it doesn't look too shabby" sort. Would any of you NJ AR-15 enthusiasts consider using this so you can have a threaded barrel and flash hider?
*The other reason Californians want these is that they can legally use full capacity pre-ban mags in conjunction with featureless AR's. (Hence the long magazine pictured above)

Tomorrow I am having my 18" barrel Tavor pinned/welded with a muzzle brake.
The barrel is threaded and it has an inoperable bayonet lug (wings shaved off).
After replacing the flash hider with a muzzle brake, and pinning/welding it onto the threaded barrel, will it finally be gtg according to the state of NJ?
Thanks for everyone's help on this. Greatly appreciated.

Really not a bad price. I really only want to reload 9mm and 5.56. I would like to tune my pistol for competition loads. I shot some 150 grain syntech the other day and it's a noticeably different recoil impulse. -
Lee pro 1000 I run 2. 1 for large pistol primers one for small pistol. I also have 2 single stage presses for load development
