damnyankee 1 Posted May 16, 2012 Will there be a match? I've never shot there before, what do I need to bring in the way of documentation? What time should I get there t help with setup?
ronhonda 86 Posted May 16, 2012 USPSA sanctioned matches are no longer being held there. However they do have practice matches and steel matches. This weekend I believe it is knockdown pro-am steel. Hi Folks, TRPC summer policy is in effect: Nine shooters or more we will hold a match and post results, $10.00 to shoot. Eight shooters or less is a practice night, score sheets for reference only, $5.00 to shoot. This Sunday Night Shoot is a ProAm Match. Shooters choice; pistol or pistol caliber carbine, Center fire only. No rimfire, no shotgun. Bring minimum 100 rounds ammo; no major loads, no factory hardball 230gr 45acp. Five mags needed. Holster and mag pouches recommended, but not mandatory. Your RO will be Dennis Marriocco Sunday, May 20, 2012 Arrive 6:00PM Start time 6:30PM $10.00 to shoot lz Shoot Fast And Safe Always Lauren Fischetti Cell: 201 248-1411 [email protected]

damnyankee 1 Posted May 16, 2012 I don't believe that there are any factory loads that are Minor load but, if you load your own its very easy to load minor. For specific examples, check out and manufacturer's load data page such as http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp They show a 230gr FMJ at 670 fps which is a 154 PF, well below Major. But expensive. Adios, PIzza Bob

hd2000fxdl 422 Posted May 17, 2012 Thanks guys will these loads still cycle a 1911 reliably I would guess so but like I says just starting out in uspsa. Probably, but it does depend on how the gun is set up. Maybe list what gun you have and what springs are in it and more than likely someone here will have one and be able to tell you.. Mikeythumbs 1 Posted May 17, 2012 The gun is a stock Springfield Range Officer. I dont know which springs are in there but whatever the stock ones are.
zoid 24 Posted May 18, 2012 Wouldn't no major loads mean no .45 at all I am new to this but I didn't think you could shoot .45 and get it to mInor power level No major loads is just for steel matches. USPSA you can use. I do use 45 for steel, but it's a lighter load. It's still major power factor, just not as hot as factory.
