NicePants 58 Posted June 27, 2012 You don't need to do anything really. Just apply for a change of address on your FPID at your new town's PD.
vjf915 456 Posted June 27, 2012 Registration is completely voluntary, and highly discouraged. All you need to do is change the address on your FPID card, if you have one.
robot_hell 72 Posted June 27, 2012 No need to re-register anything, you will just need a new FID. You will need to go through the application process again.

robot_hell 72 Posted June 27, 2012 4evah Actually, I don't know, but if you trick yourself into expecting it in 6 months you'll usually be pleasantly surprised.

KpdPipes 388 Posted June 27, 2012 Registration is completely voluntary, and highly discouraged. All you need to do is change the address on your FPID card, if you have one. part of the change of address is your old town sending copies of all of your P2P's to the new department

I remember when I changed the address on my FPID, the new town I moved to obtained everything they needed from the old town. Granted, I hadn't even applied for any P2P's until after I moved, so it may be different.

GRIZ 3,369 Posted June 28, 2012 NJSP will also change your address for you on their database which shows all handgun transactions you have made when you change the address on your FID.
djg0770 481 Posted June 28, 2012 Pistol permit clearly says on top "Pistol Permit AND Form of Registration".
