Handyman 5,682 Posted June 29, 2012 Saw this on Townhall.com: http://townhall.com/tipsheet/townhall.comstaff/2012/06/29/google_shopping_censors_guns_ammo_and_accessories Just tried it out. Last week, you could search any firearm on their "shopping" tab and get a price list (though not necessarily a good one). Today, nada...
jermz1987 243 Posted June 29, 2012 Man that sucks. Was curious as to why I couldn't look up gun parts for my Glock. For shame google!
Recon Racoon 49 Posted June 29, 2012 I just searched for like 10 different companies, or types of firearms and all I got was Remington. I'm keeping my gmail, since its associated with so much thats important, and I don't feel like changing everything over, but I'm changing search engines. Handyman 5,682 Posted June 29, 2012 This country is changing fast, and not for the better. I know the world is supposed to end this December, but I am not sure we will make it that long...
Larry1851 0 Posted June 29, 2012 I wonder how the gun community on Youtube will react considering YT is a Google company. Hmm. What bothers me about this is that someone's decision to purchase or sell via e-commerce is now retricted, or eliminated. Although it is only one channel of purchase, it just doesn't feel good. Another example of how free enterprise is eroding in this country.
FLHX 1 Posted June 29, 2012 This is just google shopping! You can still use google search engine! Why would you use Google shopping anyway?
alowerlevel 77 Posted June 29, 2012 Already a thread going about this http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/37504-google-shopping-is-censoring-results-involving-weapons/
Secret Squirrel 3 Posted July 4, 2012 Google shopping sucks anyway, when I look for something i get 50,000 results of shit I don't want. The regular search engine is still the best.

Another example of how free enterprise is eroding in this country. This isn't the erosion of free enterprise at all.....in fact, it's free enterprise at work. Google is a private company. If they don't want to sell or facilitate the selling of gun products, they can do that. Do I agree with this? No, I think it's dumb (duh, I own guns) but yeah...they're not out of line at all to do this.
