Ahh, the birth of another Libertarian. No government hand outs for businesses or banks. I've never been a fan of the GM line. I have a 99 Suburban 2500 HD, because the Excursion was getting being discontinued. But this is my only and last GM car. Ford Fleet vehicles (crown vics, Taurus, trucks) Toyota Trucks and Subaru's are built to last.

I used to only buy fords, but my last ford was an escort gt where the engine fell out, the bolts that held the motor mount to the block sheered. I had the extended warranty, but Ford did not pay the repair bill (the bolts had to be drilled out of the block and retapped). Ford said the motor mount was covered, but not the bolts. That was the last Ford I ever bought.

Fastd: Yes, although a few lines (Edge, Fusion until 2013) are made in Canada, and Mexico, respectively. Much higher American parts content than the Foreign companies you listed across the entire line.

 

Raj: The whole "American Muscle Car" is made in Canada so what do you expect? The only RWD cars made stateside are the Mustang and Corvette.

They only have plants here cause it costs so much to import them over here. And yes American cars have parts and are sometimes built elsewhere cause if they were all built here, we could never afford them!
