mag1 0 Posted October 3, 2012 Found this one at cove creek outfitters. Picked it up from Tony last night at 6:30. Out the door by 6:40, awesome! I called around to see if they had any stainless valors, wilsons, or ed browns. They said no. Then the guy said, wait, we just got in a vbob, let me check. He put me on hold for 2 minutes, then said yes we did, but its black. I said can you send me some pics, and he sure did..I paid immediately over the phone. I got it for an incredible price also..I was waiting for the day to get a deal! Even though I originally wanted a stainless Valor, I do not regret getting this one. I havent shot it yet, but it does feel nice in the hand! Grips are comfortable and grippy, fit and finish is just about perfect, and action smooth as glass! Gonna shoot this badboy tomorrow! Thanks everyone for the help and advice on a 1911!

mag1 0 Posted October 9, 2012 Thanks guys! I shot it this past weekend at the cabin..200 flawless rounds with remington umc. Low recoil, slight bit of a snap, but not a bad one like at .40. Grips can dig into you if you have sensitive hands. Accurate at 15 yards, that was the longest i was shooting. Takedown required no tools, which i wanted. Barely any residue on it. I did grease it very good after cleaning. Sight are a pleasure. Just need another set of mags and maybe some out of sight grips! Going to be looking for a full size soon, either a Valor, Specialist, Kobra, or CQB
zoid 24 Posted October 9, 2012 Congrats on the new 1911! Very nice. I shot one just like that, except it was the standard grip. Great shooting 1911. When you say takedown required no tools what do you mean exactly? No bushing wrench? I use my mag to depress the recoil spring plug.
mag1 0 Posted October 9, 2012 It comes with a wrench. I just used my hands. My wife was able to take it down also without tools. So nice to be able to do that and takes no time at all!

Socom 19 Posted October 10, 2012 This gun was used no? A duty coat vbob is about 1800 give or take. If its brandy new and you got it for 1200 you stole that thing and got away like a bandit!
