How does AOW work in NJ? Cellphone guns, sawed-off shotguns with no stock/pistols with forward grips, wallet guns, etc. All the NFA websites say it's legal in NJ but they say the same about FA so...

 

Anybody get a local LEO signoff for this stuff? Anybody do it with a corp or trust?

I knew someone who tried to get a CLEO signoff for AOW, but haven't head from him in awhile. Not sure if they ever signed the paperwork(they had never seen it obviously).

Do you mean 50 cal? If so, that's not an NFA item.

There is a mechanism in NJ statutes to apply for a permit to own FA wapons. This is why websites say its possible in NJ. Fact is no one has a permit. To own an AW you have the same application procedure as a FA.

 

This is the same as websites listing you can get a carry permit in NJ. Statutes have the mechanism but in reality no one gets one.

well should the law be enacted as Fienstupid wrote it, there are gonna be ALOT of people applying in NJ...and when they get denied , who knows...another lawsuit? that will go no where?
