New Member from Sussex County

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm a new member from the southern end of Sussex County. My full time job is running an R&D program at Picatinny Arsenal. I sell firearms accessories on the side. I'm really hoping to get my post count up quickly so I can sell or trade some of my acquisitions. I'm also a member of the NJ Army National Guard. People seem to like to share what they own on this site, so here goes (all neutered for NJ, of course):

AR-57, Saiga 12, Magnum Research BFR in .500 S&W, Springfield XD-45, Ruger LCP .380, Mossberg 500, Masterpiece arms Defender in 5.7x28, Hi-point .40, Hi-point .40 carbine, Hi-point 9mm carbine, Steyr AUG USR, and a Mossberg 715t (.22LR), and assorted black rifle lowers.

To keep the peace at home (and the whole financial responsibility thing, I will only be able to acquire more if I trade or sell at this point.

I'm not posting a WTB, but I want to share a few of my interests and wild dreams before prices went nuts:

.22 LR pistol with a threaded barrel like a Ruger Mark III with the Volquartsen V-magic 2 upgrade (https://www.volquartsen.com/products/530-v-magic-ii)

DPMS LR-308 lower (I might build one from an 80 percent lower if my dad and I can actually get an order in with the manufacturer) http://aresarmor.com/store/Item/TACMHDM8

Five Seven Pistol (I bought the Masterpiece Arms Defender as sort of a poor man's alternative to go with my AR-57) http://www.fnhusa.com/index.php?cID=503

Something in .50 BMG . . . perhaps a Tactilite upper? http://www.tactilite.com/Tactilite-T2-Upper-Receiver-p/t2.htm

Kel-Tec RFB http://www.keltecweapons.com/our-guns/rifles/rfb/

PLR-16 http://www.keltecweapons.com/our-guns/pistols/plr-22/

DPMS AP4 upper (.22 LR)http://dpmsinc.com/22-Long-Rifle-AP4-Barrel-Assy_p_135.html

Anyway, I'm going to try to hit the 50 post minimum to play in the selling forum. At this rate I'll be there in July. My wishlish got me pretty distracted.

Well, you guys are doggone friendly. I'm not surprised to see such heavy representation from Sussex County. :)

Welcome to the forum.

FYI: you may want to do a little research on that 80% lower. I don't believe NJ allows you to do that.

Enlighten me on this one. We have a prohibition on manufacturing a lower receiver for personal use? Shoot, even California doesn't restrict machining out an 80 percent lower as long as you don't do any private party transfers once it's complete (that's a federal thing, anyway).
