armalite ar-10 trigger.. any recomendations?

i have an Armalite ar10 .308 flat top with 20 inch barrel... im not too happy with the length of pull in the trigger. so im in the process of researching different aftermarket triggers. i wanted to know if any of you changed them out on your ar-10's and if you noticed a difference? also what did you change to and was it a drop in complete trigger or just springs that were changed?? thank you

I put the Gieselle SSA-E into my AR10 build. I've yet to fire it yet as I'm missing the BCG.

 

I have the SDE on my AR15 build and absolutely love it.

Do you really mean length of pull (I.e. length from trigger to end of stock), or do you mean the amount of trigger take up before it breaks.

 

Geissele will improve the trigger, but the reach to it will be the same or worse if you get the flat trigger.

 

Ar gold will move it back a teensy bit, but total trigger travel is really short relative to stock trigger geometry. They make an ar-10 specific version.

 

If you are actually talking about length of pull, you deal with the stock to fix that.

hmmmmm... keep going, im getting an education .. i'll have to shoot it again to see, but i think you may be right, the length of pull may be the issue.. how can this be corrected? i already have the full stock on it

Length of pull - The measurement from the rear of the buttpad to the front edge of the trigger.

 

 

A smaller person needs a gun with a shorter length of pull and vice versa.
