wanted one of these, but went with the bcm mod3 bc it was $40 cheaper. $85 for a charging handle was a little too steep for me.

Well I just ordered one off of amazon using my credit card points. I have 2 bcm charging handles now so if I like the raptor I can sell one bcm.

The one I had was really good quality and worth every penny IMO. Since I'm a lefty it solved all my issues

I don't own one, but I was fondeling one at Lou's Firearms the last time I was there and it definitely feels sturdy and well made. Obviously bigger then the BCM (which I have and love) but the price tag drew me away. I think it was $80 and I was picking up a BCG at the time so I just couldn't purchase a CH for half the price that I paid for the BCG.

I also shoot from the left side and this works great for me. It feels stronger then any other ambi charging handle I have tried. I have not heard anyone complain, except for the price. So to me it is simply a matter of budget and priority. If your AR is worth this cost for a charging handle then I expect you will be happy with it.
