Is 7.62 x 54r the same as .308 or is that 7.62x51 just wondering if I can shoot .308 I would consider but don't want to try and find surplus ammo

Mine came in Friday and it looks pretty sweet, covered heavily in cosmo but that's good. Mine says 1955.2 whatever that means and the manufacturer says Ching Chang chong, I don't know what it says I stopped going to Chinese school at 2nd grade.

 

Too bad I won't be picking it up until next month.

i actually had one from buds delivered with florescent green spray paint on the stock... not the mention the grime and grease was out of control

I ordered a few of these a while back.  Dirtier than anything I seen, clean up just fine, fantastic bores and are awesome shooters.  Very good ugly rifles...  I say grab one.

Back down to $119 at Bud's.

 

Picked up my Bud's Type 53 today. She is ugly but but functional. The bolt is very smooth and there is little to no rust. The stock is pretty beat up but should look decent after some light sanding and refinishing.

Picked mine up on Thursday, overall it's in acceptable shape. Couple decent gouges in the buttstock, but for the price it exceeds my expectations. We'll see what awaits under the cosmo
