iCARRY 0 Posted June 30, 2013 My grandfather who passed on march 16 was a Korean War veteran, army drill instructor in Arkansas. We recently cleaned out the house and found some old military items. His full dress uniform which will be mounted in a nice case for future generations of my family to see and appreciate, His ruck sack, and an old dummy Grenade. Wish he had more. He probably did but over the years I am sure he just threw stuff out. Only got picks of the grenade, makes a great paperweight. Anyone have experience with uniform display cases? nitrospaz9 10 Posted June 30, 2013 My best friends father has dummy grenades that were hollowed out from Vietnam. Both the pineapple like you have there and the baseball grenade. I was surprised how heavy they are and you really have to wing those things lol
iCARRY 0 Posted June 30, 2013 It's hollowed out in the bottom. Grenades are that heavy cause you need to be able to throw it a decent distance.

Grenades are designed to create shrapnel as an anti-personnel device. The shrapnel comes from the weight of the metal.
