I bought a liquor cabinet for my bar. Looking for some suggestions beyond the common drinks.

Do you have parties often. If so you may want to have a variety of common spirits to make popular drinks. You can make many drinks from vodka you just need the other ingredients like limes cranberry juice or lemons. Some other good spirits to have are...

I have a buddy or 2 over often. I have a party a few times a year.

 

Here's what I got so far

If you wanna make an awesome party drink get absolute citron. Great for summer. 1 part absolute citron, 4 parts lemonade. add ice= awesome drink that will F you up

Always have the five whites on hand:

Vodka, Gin, White Rum, Triple Sec, and Tequila(white)

 

Keep a decent well bourbon like Jack Daniels or Makers Mark. I like blended Canadian whiskey for highballs or similar. My grandad used to drink Canadian club so that is what I have.

 

I like Irish whisky and prefer bushmills or Concannon so I usually have that on hand.

 

Fancy liqueurs or cordials I buy for te specific party. Same with mixers.(sour mix, Collins mix, juices and coke). No sense keeping a big bottle of Galliano other than it looks cool.

 

And get a decent shaker set. Blenders are for slushes. Not cocktails.

Tullamore Dew is very good.  I prefer 12 year old Jamesons myself.  And lately ive been stuck on THE KNOT, its a 100 proof Irish whiskey, REALLY smooth for that strong a whiskey.  I'll add a shot of my setup when i find the pics I took after I built the bar.

I'm the best man in a wedding in a couple week and the engagement party is at my house. I we t a liquor budget and trying to see what I should toss in. This is on top of beer, wine and champaign

In my bar I have plenty of whiskey. Basil Hayden's is my favorite. Also Bullit bourbon is really good. I've tried buffalo bourbon recently. It's got a strong kick but goes down smooth

Ditch the Cuervo and get a good tequila like patron. Also upgrade your vodka, I prefer kettle one or grey goose. I bit more pricey but worth it for taste
