Nj Handgun Permits - Timeframe?

I was reading that NJ saw a spike in firearm permits in the month of May.  Has anyone who put in for a handgun permit in May received there's yet?

I applied in early June and was told ther was a 4-5 month minimum backlog due to volume.

Keep in mind the wait times are based entirely on each individual Police Dept. Some PD's turn them around in a week, others take 8 months.

I am past the 3 month mark.................. I would have to find the USPS Money Order to see when I actually applied, beats me. As soon as they come in I will apply for more and just keep it going. Already lost-out on two possible purchases because people did not want to hold them for me even if pre-paid. This state sucks.

I applied for permits in my township on 4/30/13, and they were in hand 6/20/13, so about 6-7 weeks.

I applied for my last ones in the beginning of Feb and got them the end of June. So about 4 months, but I also called and prodded them along in June.

Applied 6/27 got them today 7/17 = 21 days

Mine took six months. The ones before these 21 days. The reason the difference in times was the issuing authority changed. Even during the peak of the gun crunch pro 2a towns still had quick turn around times. If your trying to gauge how long of a wait your in for post up your town and I'm sure sooner or later somebody will chime in.

I applied on like May 20th I just called Hillside police dept. this past thursday lady said all my stuff is back and I should get a call the beginning of this week to pick it up.
