Magazine Subscriptions?

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if I could obtain some recommendations on good firearms magazine subscription. My brother and I have ordered magazines in the past such as Guns & Ammo and Handgun Mag but they often cover a lot of the same sponsored items by Springfield Armory, Smith & Wesson, Beretta and Trijicon. I was looking for magazine that covers a lot of new products such as rifles, pistols, special weapons and optics without being overly sponsored and bias. Anyone have any suggestions? Don't get me wrong magazines like Guns & Ammo and Handgun Mag have their place but I have been shooting for while and like to see reviews on other companies. Thank you for your help!

Since advertising is the life blood of any magazine it will be next to impossible to find any that don't exhibit bias. Some of the better ones that I enjoy are: Rifle / Handloader / American Handgunner, but I usually read the more mainstream publications also. You have to pick and choose what best addresses your interests and factor in the bias when reading them.

why not check out barnes and noble and pick up a few and see what you like about each one.

I know my store in Somerville has like 15 or so different gun magazines.

I like American Rifleman that I get with NRA sub

SAR has been good in the past. Pick up a recent one and see if it's any good. You can't own much in it in NJ.

Something you guys might want to think about is a magazine exchange. I do this with 2 of my friends with magazines that we subscribe to. every month or so we get together and trade magazines we have already read. We each subscribe to different publications and planned it out that way. we have been doing this for a few years now and it works really well.
