Does anyone here own a 3d printer?

I have a small plastic part I need printed.  It's not made anymore, but I have the blueprint for it and if I can find someone to print it for me it will make my life a lot easier lol.  

 

Please pm me if you are able to help.  Item is roughly 2"x3/4" round and is a simple design.

Do you have the STL file for it? If so, I could print it with my Dimension SST1200.

 

You realize that the plastic isn't nearly as good as something injection molded or at least not as done with one of the older machines like I have.

I have used shapeways to print many objects that we scan with X-ray Micro CT and they do a great job. They have an entire range of materials they can print with.

Check your public library. A number of them are getting 3d printers. Staples is rolling out a 3d printing service. Only in the Bergenfield store for NJ though.

No, you would need to use Inventor to save as a step file(STL)

Maybe not practical. I can't find it in stores nor online. Printing is probably expensive. I'll find a workaround...
