The brew guy 22 Posted November 9, 2015 I meet all the requirements to purchase from CMP, but have never do so before and have never submitted the documentation. I had planned to purchase an M1 Garand from them so I downloaded the forms and made sure I covered all the requirements, but I got lucky with a good deal for the rifle. Now I just need ammo and the accessories and CMP has pretty good ammo prices. Can I order from the eStore without having submitted all the documentation, or do I still need to send it all in? The brew guy 22 Posted November 9, 2015 I guess I'm back to finding a notary.... (And waiting for my GCA membership to come)
GRIZ 3,369 Posted November 9, 2015 Send the order with all the required paperwork. That way your order starts processing the day they get your paperwork. Every bank I've ever dealt with had someone who is a notary. Never charged as long as I had an account with them.

Schrödinger's cat 87 Posted November 10, 2015 Feel really dumb poking my nose in here, but it's the only way to learn. What are GCA and CMP ?
JC_68Westy 1,024 Posted November 10, 2015 GCA gives the option of having them notify the CMP of your membership so that you don't have to.
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot 358 Posted November 10, 2015 Feel really dumb poking my nose in here, but it's the only way to learn. What are GCA and CMP ? CMP - Civilian Marksmanship Program, where you can purchase millsurp rifles (i.e. Garands), ammo and accessories To be eligible to order from CMP, you need to fulfill eligibility requirements including being a member of an affiliated club. Garand Collector's Association (GCA) is one of the CMP Affiliated Clubs. You need to fill out an order form and fulfill requirements here: http://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/1orderformfillable.pdf

Fortunately, my membership card, etc., came yesterday so I was able to put everything together today. Got it ready to go out shortly after the mail came, I guess it's going out on Monday.
