Open files on Mac from iPad? Apple nerds get in here.

GF likes to binge watch old shows that I download using the VLC app on iPad.

Loading each show onto her iPad is tiresome, and there's only enough storage space  on the iPad for 5-6 shows at a time.

She has a Mac too - can I just copy the all the shows to the Mac HDD, and then she can open them on the iPad over wifi via some kind of network share on the Mac?

If so - how do I set that up?

I use Airvideo. Excellent ap. Everything resides on my hd. Ap is good across all devices. Much more user friendly. Pop a tiny ap on your pc or mac, set it up and bingo.
