PoorSoulInJersey 1 Posted April 14, 2009 Is that a modified Saiga? I do have a Saiga 12 ga (not shown), but that's a WASR 10 with a different stock on it (I forget the brand on it right now)

PoorSoulInJersey 1 Posted April 14, 2009 I came up with the name when I was posting on national forums, when I was the poor soul in Jersey who was stuck with our stupid gun laws. I should also mention, if anyone wants to play with any of them, I'm more than happy to have you along as a guest at the range (or be a guest at yours). I'll bring the gun, you buy the ammo. (Did I mention I belong to a really cool range that lets you bring your own ammo?)

Maksim 1,504 Posted April 14, 2009 Welcome to the forums. It was suggested to have one place where new people can post their arsenals if so desired. Here it is. If you have pictures hosted elsewhere, just link to them here.
Lavid2002 1 Posted April 15, 2009 Im jelly of your M1A (Or is it an M14?) Either way great rifles. Your muzzle brake on your Tikka reminds me of mr RRA ar15. It had a threaded BBL and they wouldnt ship it blank. (Flash hider) So They slapped a brake on it and tacked it to the BBL. It is WAY louder than it should be. The flash hider on that is really cool looking. I'm not sure what the difference really is from an M14, though. The muzzle brake on my AR is pinned and welded, since it has to be in order to make the barrel long enough to be NJ legal. It's amazing what that does to the volume of the report. tbtrout 141 Posted April 15, 2009 An M14 is select fire, M1A is only semi auto. Nice rifles
tgz13 0 Posted April 15, 2009 I have to say... I have wanted a riffle ever since I was 16 shooting a .22 Single shot, bolt action away at hockey camp (long before the thought of owning a handgun ever crossed my mind). Seeing some of these beautiful riffles really brings back the desire to own one!!

It's amazing what that does to the volume of the report. Your tellin me. My rifle clears out my range pretty fast. I try not to shoot too much if little kids are at the range learning and stuff. I want to make it fun for them. My .308 is quieter than my AR with the brake.

Mauser88 0 Posted April 15, 2009 My tack driving AR. Best shot I ever made was a clean hole through a nickle at 200 yards with a 69 grain HPBT Bullet I handloaded.
Maksim 1,504 Posted April 15, 2009 My tack driving AR. Best shot I ever made was a clean hole through a nickle at 200 yards with a 69 grain HPBT Bullet I handloaded. that is a beauty mauser. Is that a custom build or bought?
Mauser88 0 Posted April 15, 2009 Well it's a "mutt". The lower is a stock Bushy that I added a RRA 2 stage National Match trigger too. The upper is a stock RRA 24" SS Varmit barrel. I added the Magpul PRS stock and Harris bipod. It loves the 69 grain Sierra HPBT bullet.
ben 0 Posted April 15, 2009 Mauser88, what kind of muzzle brake is that on your AR? I'm about to order a build from CMMG, just need to know what kind of muzzle brake fits into NJ's standards.
Mauser88 0 Posted April 15, 2009 They are both Branson brakes. They look exactly like the AR15 Birdcage but the front is closed with only a 1/4" hole drilled in the center for the bullet to pass through. I got them from Midway USA.

Mauser88 0 Posted April 16, 2009 Nice. I bought mine in 1988 when they first came out. Still going strong with 4000 rounds of my handloads through her so far. Enjoy it. It's a hell of a good 9mm.
