So guys, I bought a 91/30 recently, and the trigger is pretty wiggly. It still has a clean break at the end that requires a decent amount of pull to set off, so I'm not worried about it going off by accident, but that wiggle before the end just bugs the crap out of me. I've looked around a bit and see that it might be the sear spring that needs replacing. Anybody know a good place for spare Mosin parts?
After firing about 20 rounds or so, the cylinder begins to lock up between every 5 or 12 rounds fired.
Regardless if shooting single or double action.
Sometimes it can be freed by gently rocking the cylinder back and forth - other times I have to open and reclose it.
This morning at the range it was especially troublesome.
Any ideas or fixes I can perform ?
Have you done any research into the cost and licensing requirements to run a repeater? We own some mountainous acreage in a very rural part of Virginia RIdge and Valley country that serves as vacation place and potential SHTF retreat. We get mediocre cell phone coverage (US Cellular only) and nothing else. I have thought of putting an antenna tower up the hill a ways (we own nearly to the top of the ridge. I wouldn't do it just for Ham or GMRS radio, but if I could get expanded cell coverage, and/or satellite internet (Dish or Starlink) as well, from one tower, I might go for it.
