Freedom Munitions Has Changed Brass Credit Program

Recommended Posts

When brass is returned, FM no longer issues credits to your credit card. They issue a store credit which appears under your account on their new website. This credit can supposedly be used against a future order. (I haven't done this yet. I'm assuming at checkout there's a place to apply the credit.)

As a result, you should send in brass before placing an order, not after, if you want brass credit applied to that order. I placed an order, and now cannot get credit towards that order for the brass I'm about to send in.

As of Father's Day they didn't discuss this on their brass credit page, or on the brass return form. Looks like after I pointed out to them that the old way had disappeared, they changed their form and their credit page.

They seem to have perpetual growing pains over there. I dont think they're even a good deal anymore. i just went thru 10 boxes of el cheapo Brown Bear 9 and it was about as reliable as a shipment of reloads i got from FM a while back.

Commodity, specifically, scrap metal prices aren't as high as they once were. You can't blame them. I've been scoring factory new 9mm at 0.18/rd, 45ACP at 0.24/rd, etc etc. Tough to compete with factory reloaders

Brass? If so, where? Cheapest Factory New Brass 9mm I can find is 20 cents per round.

PMC Bronze in factory sealed cases at the past two gun shows I was at (SAR East and Knob Creek).  The trick is to buy on Thursday evening when they are unloading the truck and Sunday evening when they are loading the truck.

They had 10% off std and 15% off fancy rounds in all calibers a while back, so i bought stuff. I buy wolf for the price of their reloada, basically, though at retail price. Eh.

I checked the trade in page a while back (over a month now) and it said you get store credit. We must have seem different pages. Hell, i just scored a few thousand rounds off of a member on here for the cost of their reloads. No thanks!

Best way to do it.  Many years ago at a show I picked up 1200 round crates of China Sports Ammo in 7.62x39 for $75/case because they did not want to load it to go home.  Used to buy the same way from Ammoman at PA shows when he first started out.
