NY bills passed - including MIcrostamping
GRIZ replied to Lawnmower2021's topic in National Gun Law Discussion
You can't sue politicians on how they vote, judges how they rule. If you could you wouldn't have anyone become a politician or judge. Qualified immunity. -
I think most of the new gun laws.will be eyewash so the liberals can say they're doing something.

You're talking keyboards. No resistance. What's the press on a piano or keyboard? Wtf are you doing 500 trigger pulls in 3o minutes? Seems to me your just sending lead downrange.

NY bills passed - including MIcrostamping

All thus microstamping crap. MD had microstamping. After a bunch of years the MDSP asked the legislature to revoke the microstamping law. Over the years it was in effect it had solved zero crimes. MDSP said they could use the money for things that produce results. But liberals like eyewash. -
Maybe you need to build up your hand and finger muscles. Get a hand exerciser. Do it both ways (vee up by your trigger finger, vee down by your pinky finger). You can do this whilst your driving or on the train or bus commuting or watching TV. Before long you will see results. This will help your handgun shooting too. Sport specific prep. Several hundred rounds? Is this a casual range session? If so you're more concerned with sending lead downrange than developing your technique. A friend of mine (a true precision shooter) and I meet up several times a year. I worked with him. We spend 5 or 6 hours at the range. Intermixed with shooting (usually rifles), bs, and reminiscing. We go through 200-300 rounds over 5-6 hours.

I'm not a Commando, special operator, SEAL, or any of that. I've been in the position of, "Here's this M16. Go into battle with this". I survived. If you're talking about gun games pursue whatever your conscience and wallet can survive. Slightly OT but I have a Taurus 669, 4", 357 I bought in 1988. The trigger is not a S&W but I have no reservations about using it in a fight. SGT York didn't select his trigger for his rifle. Audie Murphy didn't tune his M1 carbine or M2 50 caliber. Too many get wrapped up in what can be considered software. The hardware is between your ears.

My "precision" AR has a JP trigger. But WTF do I know. I've only been shooting ARs for over 50 years.

Supreme Court Takes First 2A Case in a Decade

My understanding is that Daniel Defense offers a buy now, pay later program. Not a bad thing. When I turned 21, back in the 70s, I was assaulted by numerous credit card offers. At that time I used credit cards to buy SCUBA equipment. Thought I has enough guns. -
If you spent enough time and effort you can adapt to any trigger

I learned to always carry a winter coat driving my Austin Healey back in the 60s which, being a British sports car, was always prone to breaking down.
-
"Honestly not bad" is you didn't have any problems when you where there. If your think the cartels are concerned about the tourist trade you're fooling yourself. If the cartels have a target they care shit from shinola about the tourist trade as they've shown in the past.
-
Not an issue if the target is at 6 feet. I have a couple of old "bicycle" guns in 32 S&W. Wintertime, I'll carry one in my coat pocket. Makes a good "get off of me" gun.

I'll take it if @Buckshot195 doesnt. -
1LtCAP I recently ordered from the Gun Parts Company. They had Greek 2 clip pouches in military surplus. There's a bit of corrosion on the metal but it cleans up. Never knew these existed. I knew an older SF guy in Vietnam. WW2 and Korea vet. When he "went for a walk" hee carried a M1 with a clip in the rifle and a clip squeezed on the sling. He felt comfortable with that.

Water is the best thing to remove corrosive salts.i use hot water, WD40 to displace the water, then conventional cleaning to remove the WD40.

Not received. There's an email address in the newsletter to notify.

You all need to remember, most confrontations don't call for lethal force. That's civilian and LE. If you're legally carrying a handgun you need to have something less than lethal. I know of LE agencies that require officers to carry their pepper spray and handcuffs if they're carrying a gun off duty.

Which JHP's are legal for home defense?
GRIZ replied to GDITurbo77's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I've said it before and I'll say it again. NJ Stautes, for the law abiding gun owner, only cover where you can possess hollowpoints. They say nothing about where you can use them. -
I'll take that along with the AR7 bag. Will pick all up next week.
