  1. Yeah, curious what the robot did in this case other than provide recon and a distraction? When I saw the title of this thread I though it was going to be about the honey badger:
  2. Heh, not bad, needed a chuckle after today!
  3. Interesting. The guy who runs Constitution Arms in Maplewood runs it out of his house and does not have a separate entrance to my knowledge. I did a transfer via him and walked in right the front door, past his kids watching TV in the living room and then down into the basement where he actually does his FFL business.
  4. Whoa whoa whoa, stop the presses. I'm sitting here waiting on delivery of a BAR rail and you're telling me the rail spacing on them isn't standard!? Please elaborate!
  5. Nice work DD, farther than I've gotten. I'm trying to get into "TAC-ra-me" but haven't made the time to really finish anything yet. Shug - One good place to get paracord from is: http://www.supplycaptain.com/index.cfm If you don't know about it already, Stormdrane's blog has a lot of design examples and inspiration: http://stormdrane.blogspot.com/
  6. Interesting. Just dug out my recent receipts for my purchases of Federal/American Eagle .223 55gr FMJ ammo from Cabela's: 06/05/10: $6.49/box 20 10/19/10: $6.29/box 20 2/12/11: $5.79/box 20 3/2/11: $5.49/box 20 Let's see where it goes from here.
  7. One downside to the 940 is cheap brass cases may stick in the cylinder (consensus seems to be that nickle/chrome cases are less likely to stick): http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225200 Also, you'll likely want to keep a good supply of moon clips on hand if you get it. Even a slight bend in the moon clip can end up making the cylinder drag:
  8. What's on the NJSP web site are *GUIDELINES*, aka suggestions. The NJSP's *GUIDELINES* are NOT *NEW JERSEY LAW*. Here's *NEW JERSEY LAW* (2C:39-1): http://lis.njleg.state.nj.us/cgi-bin/om_isapi.dll?clientID=220725&Depth=2&depth=2&expandheadings=on&headingswithhits=on&hitsperheading=on&infobase=statutes.nfo&record={1A38}&softpage=Doc_Frame_PG42 Regarding legal transport of firearms, *NEW JERSEY LAW* says: I haven't been able to find anything in *NEW JERSEY LAW* on the transportation of ammunition. Has anyone else? If ammunition transportation is not specifically defined in the statutes then my interpretation is that there is NO restriction on how you transport ammo that is not "loaded" into a firearm.
  9. Hornady Critical Defense Federal "tactical" buckshot. Slugs on the side saddle.
  10. Anyone checked up on that poster recently? I think they may have had a seizure.
  11. Have a IIIA vest with trauma plate, wear it often when going to public ranges, especially the bullet hole. There are plenty of places that will sell to civilians, including sellers on ebay. Bought mine here: http://www.bulletproofme.com/
  12. Yeah, I bet they do what they do with mattresses - make a different "model" variant for every retailer so that it becomes hard to do direct price comparisons.
  13. Not sure how good a deal this is, but it's supposedly normally priced at $550: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11618011

  15. Looking forward to seeing it all together and hearing a range report when you shoot it for the first time.
  16. There are no NJ limitations on front grips/bipods for long guns that I'm aware of.
  17. Whoah, just noticed that they have a search engine for their "armed citizen" stories now that includes the ability to search on state. So select NJ, search and read away.
  18. I wouldn't take them as examples of what would happen in NJ, but the NRA collects stories of self-defense shootings: http://www.nraila.org/armedcitizen/
  19. I guess red dress is not getting a thank you card from the bride and groom...
  20. Here, I'll save you the trip:
  21. Big wave expected to hit Hawaii around 9am EST. Japan has declared a Nuclear Emergency - it's reported that there is a cooling issues with a reactor.
