Optimizing ones' firearms collection...
The_Matrix replied to DevsAdvocate's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I pick the guns for the chopping block when: 1) I lose interest 2) brings no joy when I shoot it (fun factor is gone) 3) collecting dust -
Issac, you're alright in my book and that's all that matters! Thanks for helping us poor, unfortunate souls in NJ!

I actually enjoy watching his videos. He's entertaining. For what its worth, he's an entertainer, quasi-gun "expert".
-
I suggest to take the time and hold them and see how it feels in your hand. Internet opinion can only take you so far. Either way, they are both great pistols. Good luck!

ak74's , who has what? where did you get it?
The_Matrix replied to intercooler's topic in AK Variant Discussion
Just want to chime in. I got an Arsenal and I absolutely love it. I was never a AK fan, but after getting this clone last September, I became a fan. Now the Arsenals are a bit expensive, but I thought it was worth every penny. No modes needed and the fit and finish is Grade A. It runs flawless. It feels very balance in my hands. Got 2 mags from Mtn Armory (Issac) and they fit perfect. No wobble and fits tight. In conclusion, if you got the $$$, get an Arsenal! -
Legal hypothetical

Well said. -
I just put some money down on a used HK P2000 .40!
The_Matrix replied to Downr@nge's topic in Handguns
You did good. Even used HK's command a premium. -
I am a lil confused about this GB listing
The_Matrix replied to tuktuk's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Reality check...Cops don't bother other cops...that's the way it is. Its like one big happy family. Also, the prosecutors offices, its one big family. It sucks for others who are outside of the circle. -
Mountain Armory is good to go. Just call him and leave a message and he will call you back. His website does not work well. As for K-var...$45 for a 10 rd mag. Whatever he is smoking, I don't want it.

Building an AK-47 (without expensive tools)

Good luck with your built. It looks like quite a complex undertaking. I would be interested in this as well. -
Pics of my NJ legal M1 carbine
The_Matrix replied to Pew Pew Plates's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I thought the AG approved the AO ML Carbine for sale. Sucker punched! -
Just a guess, if is legal in NY, then most definite in NJ. NY gun laws are stricter than NJ's, except when dealing with Pre-Bans. NY exempts pre-ban stuff. In NJ, we have no pre-ban. That's were NY has a slight advantage. (Their pistol laws sucks big time)

I was watching the video. Maybe he got a lemon?

My Saiga rifle refuses my Saiga mags

LOL. Good response. -
Once a month if I am lucky. The wife is a PITA.

I am so pissed at myself. I sold a MAK-90 for $200 in January 2007. I should have waited. I bought it in 1994 for $325.

A new addition to the family and a great day at the range!!!
The_Matrix replied to rauchman's topic in Handguns
Let me guess...you like Glocks. Nice pics and thanks for sharing. I just sold my Glock 26. I like it, but never shoot it. Very nice pistol and it has a new home. I also have a G23 courtesy of the US government. -
Just call him and order. It will make your life easier. He is a nice person to deal with. His website does not work well.
-
Just want to know the idiots that are constantly voting him back in office. Give me their names!
-
You think NJ sucks, then move to NY or Commiefornia. You'll love NJ a lot better.
-
Go ahead, make my day.

I went to one 3 years ago and it was fun. They had a lot of gun stuff, but it was quite crowded. Regardless, I think you should go just for the funny factor and the experience of checking out stuff. Remember, you don't have to buy.
