  1. The new badges probably won't go out until end of March. Deadline for payment is 3/15/12 and badges are sent out in one large batch after everyone has had a chance to pay. Your current badge will be good until then. HTH
  2. Hi! I currently have only 8 handguns. Sig, Colt, S & W and Beretta. My 92 FS Inox is my favorite to shoot. Can't go wrong with a 92FS if it feels good in your hand. Just my ever so humble opinion.
  3. ????????????? Form SP66 Consent for Mental Health Records Search. Form STS-33 Application to Purchase a Handgun. Two pages=Two minutes tops. What are the other Four pages?
  4. I heard it in Ewing about the same time. Sometimes at night I can hear planes taxying at Mercer County airport, trains in W. Trenton and traffic on I95. It was none of those. I thought the best explaination I could theorize was an echo from I95. ????????????? I only listened for a minute. It definately happened. The sound, although unknown was not BS. It was there.
  5. " Now whoever saw this parcel of mail now knows I am a firearm owner and has my address. Thanks for nothing ANJRPC." What are you ashamed of? You need to come out of the closet along with thousands of others. Then, maybe we can be heard as a group with legitimate complaints about our rights being infringed. Maybe if people know a fine upstanding member of the community (such as you) own guns, they will change their atitudes.
  6. I hope there is no need for me to do so either. But wait, there is a need to exercise my rights. I don't always carry and I may even hide it on occasion. Thing is ya never really know. I believe the old saying "Use it or lose it." Many people that should know the laws don't. How many times have I heard "Wow, aren't you afraid of getting in trouble for those hollow point bullets?" If I put it out there, I have a chance of educating someone and helping to protect our rights. People that are scared of a little hassle only hurt and diminish them. Probably the same people that don't step up when they see a wrong being committed. Just avert your eyes and scurry along. Don't want to get involved. Heaven forbid I should attract attention to myself. I mean these things for anyone that fits the description. You may take it personally...............or not.
  7. Gee thanks fof helping to intimidate honest law abiding citizens. I have been hassled by the police for having a gun on me, on my property. Yes, they are idiots and so are the people that called them. They pushed the envelope while giving me the third degree and treated me like a criminal. I walked a fine line between really pissing them off and educating them. Cops do not like to corrected. The folks in NJ that are shocked and frightened when they see a gun need to be desensitized! Would anyone even bat an eye in Texas or Montana if they witnessed me carrying a gun on my own property? Hell no! Why should they intimidate me here? I refuse to be intimidated. I have stickers on my car, stickers on my front door, and wear NRA and other shooting related apparel. I don't expected to be targeted for robbery or burglary and I do live on the edge of the jungle. I have about $100,000.00 worth of tools and equipment in my place too. Should I take down my sign advertising auto repair so nobody is tempted to steal my tools? JMHO
  8. Oh, yeah. Explain to me how if I pay more for expenses I get to keep more money than if I had no expense. And, why I should pay for your beer in the first place? (Figurativley speaking of course.)
  9. It is his father's and grandmother's "place of business". It is where he is employed not "his" place of business. The mobile home park is not his business. That's how I understand it.
  10. My stickers are not to solicit approval. I don't give a **** what anyone thinks. There are four different stickers on my car. NRA membership, USMC and an American Flag in the rear quarter windows divided 2 on each side. Also, a "Protect our Borders" sticker covering a dent and small hole in my rear bumper. The NRA, USMC and Flag are a matter of support and pride. The protect our borders sticker is an opinion.
  11. I have NRA stickers on my car. I have NRA and gun books and info in my shop's customer area. I encourage folks to inquire or remark as they see fit. I am certainly not afraid of being pulled over because of a NRA sticker. I have received many "thumbs up" from other driver's and zero negative response that I am aware of. Some of you folks need to grow a pair. (If the shoe fits, wear it!)
  12. Today is the anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. On this occasion I would like to recommend a web site. It has been mentioned here in the past, but since then we have many new members so I’m bringing it up again.. I urge everyone to check this out. Explore Patriot Post’s many informative resources and learn. http://patriotpost.us/about/ http://patriotpost.us/resources/ http://patriotpost.us/
  13. Midway USA has them on sale right now. I bought the six-pack and they protect the rifles in the safe just fine. I only bought them for when I'm clumsy and bang one rifle against the another. I love Midway. Every time I need one thing I leave their website having bought a half dozen items. There service and products are 1st class all the way.
  14. I've had my P238 SAS for a few months now and still love it. It has performed flawlessly with ball ammo and JHP rounds. I don't count rounds fired, but estimate just from what I remember buying and what's left, it has fired around 500 rounds so far with zero malfunctions. The fit and finish is excellent and the gun just feels good in my hand. I bought a couple of Sig seven round magazines with the pinky finger extended floor plate. These mags are good if your hand is small enough to put your pinky on them or they have a groove on the bottom for your pinky if your hand is too big. I highly recommend the P238.
  15. It's worth the trip for me. I live in Ewing and Tanner's is the last stop on my "short" gun shop tour loop. Usually it's real easy to hit Surplus City, Classic Pistol, Clayton's and Tanner's on a afternoon or morning ride. On topic, Tanner's has a decent inventory and occasionally have in store specials on ammo and such. Tanner's sells a lot or firearms on Gun Broker but only lists a fraction of the inventory there. Some folks don't like Clayton's but I've always been treated well there, as with the others I mentioned. The short loop is definitely worth it at least once. Also Classic Pistol and Clayton's have public indoor ranges. Tanner's ships handguns for $20.00 and long guns should be carry out with proper paperwork. I have only bought handguns at Tanner's so far. If they have something you like on Gunbroker it's worthwhile to go see and fondle it at the store.
  16. Check these out. US made 92 INOX,Italian 92 INOX Tanner's is a decent shop. I have made several purchases there. HTH
  17. Agree with Regulator72, use the electric knife if you've got one. Trace outline with chalk and cut it out. I did this and it worked well for me too. A friend of mine took the cutouts to give to his grandson.
  18. And on sale now! Midway bags on sale.
  19. You can search for FFL dealers at places like Gunbroker.com, Bud's Gun shop and other sites that sell guns. All dealers listed don't always do transfers though so you may have to call a few to find one to try. There are a few FFL dealers within a 20 minute drive from my home. The ten minutes to Stout's was nice but another ten isn't bad. I found two in Allentown NJ that do transfers for less. One will do rifles or shotguns for $15.00 plus NICS and tax. Pistols are more because of reporting requirements. Only one transaction so far so I will hold off on my opinions until a few transactions are completed.
  20. There are laws for selling knives to minors (under 18). Check the NJ Legislative web site. 2C:39-9.1. Sale of knives to minors; crime of the fourth degree; There could be other mentions, do a search on that site. HTH
  21. OK. I need to make a correction to what I said previously. This in no way excuses Leroy Stout's words and actions! I was in error as to the exact date I was eligible to purchase another hand gun. Mr. Stout should have known the previous date and held up the transfer for that reason. Not, because he wanted to wait a couple of days "to be sure". Had Mr. Stout said, "You can't purchase now, you idjit, it hasn't been thirty days yet." I would have seen my error and said "Oops, sorry I'll see you in a few days then".I would have been embarrassed and waited longer. He is still not worthy of a recommendation.
