  1. Yeah, I've sampled a lot of different coquito (my uncle, grandma, family friends') and most of them make it very very strong. I enjoy liquor and I like a stiff drink but for some reason I don't like really strong coquito. Also, most people don't drink a lot of it in a sitting (it's sweet and has terrible ingredients in it) so having one or two servings of some that's really strong will give you a buzz fairly easily. I want to say my uncles ends up being aorund 2 shots per serving.
  2. I make coquito every holiday season. It's delicious. I've mixed my grandma's recipe with my own twist. The real secret is creating it thick like a milkshake but not so thick it barely pours out of your bottle. Also, pouring it in an empty bacardi or Don Q liquor bottle is traditional but Poland spring bottles are easy to get and transport as well. My uncle makes his so strong some people can't drink it but I make mine strong enough that it has a nice bite but not too strong (roughly 1.5 shots per serving).
  3. Krd, what's that cigar next to the bottle of Westland? I bought two of them a few months ago and don't remember who made it.
  4. Dick Marcinko is the man. Rogue Warrior's an awesome read.
  5. My two solar G-Shocks have been through a lot - dunked in concrete, hammered, smashed one between a scissor lift cage and an I beam (yeah that hurt), plenty of water testing, any type of construction you can think of really and they keep on ticking. Never any water penetration issues and although plenty of scratches on the watch face itself, they keep going. One has two mode buttons stuck from concrete. I love them and have a bunch for work and a few for personal.
  6. Bring firewood in a container of some sort. They won't know and won't check. Then buy one stack at the campground so you at least pretend to be burning their wood.
  7. Nice pick up! Congrats. The new VEPR's have some great looking wood furniture on them. Not sure if you're planning on converting it to AKM, but at least install a bullet guide so you can use surplus AK mags.
  8. C93's are cool. Steel mags, roller delayed BB is reliable, and they have a nice look to them. I've debated getting one but always end up buying something else. A roller is on my to buy list and I've been close to a PTR but .308 is not cheap and I feel like a c93 or x39 h&k would be shot more due to ammo prices.
  9. Was that the all American DDI or the parts kit DDI? Steve is the man by the way.
  10. Nice so far. You need a couple milled though :-)
  11. I'd ask friends with some property for photo ops before I'd ask anyone else.
  12. Sam7 bro. It's calling your name.
  13. All things aside, I'm surprised the sales weren't better. So many retailers have so much extra inventory right now. 15-20% off is typical percentages that you can find all through the year with most retailers. There were some decent ones though. G2 triggers were $13 hahah awesome. Croatian ak mags at $7 were a steal. I wanted a chest rig but the discounts were nothing special of other sales through the year so i bought an expensive handguard that I got 40% off of from a company that rarely has more than 10% sales on.
  14. All of the super uptight legality wanna-be lawyers in here all the time and numerous people suggest driving this thing to PA and risk getting pulled over? I can't believe a ton of NJGF member's heads didn't explode with this thread. Hahaha.
  15. I'd buy a non compliant upper and have a local shop install the muzzle brake of your choice. When you buy from a retailer, your nj compliant options are minimal and you are forced into a few select muzzle brakes and handguards. If you buy a complete upper with a threaded barrel, get it shipped to your house install handguard of your choice, then have a local shop install brake of your choice.
  16. Automatic throwers are nice for numerous reasons, but get boring IMO. A wobbler is a must either way (expect to pay over 100 bucks for that attachment seperately) but even a wobbler is easy to guess where the clays are going. For new shooters auto throwers are great but once you get good, they get repetitive. Manual sit down throwers are better and add a bit of fun to shooting clays. But obviously if you shoot by yourself often it won't work. You can throw singles, doubles, triples..we've thrown up to five clays at one time on our manual throwers (and I shot them all! thanks to averageJoe's mossy 930). You can change direction on the fly be it up or down or left and right. They allow you to turn into a much better clay shooter that an automatic throwers will hold you back IMO. If you are starting out, getting something less expensive and getting the hang of things is a great idea but if you have the money to spend on something nice, go for it. Just don't be "that guy" with the $3k shotgun that is a terrible shot. There are too many of those guys.
  17. Lol at everyone having guns and such minimal ammo stash's. As the FUDD's say, why do I need more than 3 boxes of ammo for anything? You guys should be dumping money into ammo. Then more ammo. And more on top of that. Guns are useless without rounds to feed them.
  18. Unless you see a screaming deal, I'd hold out. Prices will come down be it a small decrease or substantial.
  19. Dozens of better uppers from quality manufacturers around that price and a little more.
  20. If you really want one badly, I found an OEM 6920 for $800. All you gotta do is add a handguard and buttstock.
  21. If you have to buy a complete rifle, I'd get a colt 6920 or similar model. Under a grand and a solid AR, plus resale value is excellent if you ever decide to sell it in the future.
  22. As well as the 13 antennas and heavily tinted windows all the way around! Not obvious at all!
  23. I haven't seen these sort of plates. I've noticed a lot of municipal police have "MG" on their plates for municipal government I think followed by 5 numbers. But it looks like they are now excluding MG and just using letters and numbers.
  24. It's called supply and demand first off. And if you don't like it, don't buy it. Midwest PX has been great to me. Fast shipping and great service and I'm sure 99.9% of Njgf members would say the same thing.
  25. IMO there wasn't really much panic pricing. Ammo was still at good average prices within a week of election (typical $10 box of 9mm and $6 for .223). I think if anything people bought guns that they ironically wouldn't like after Killary won and they would resell...but that's not happening because Trump won!! Wooo! I think the marketplaces will be neutral, not really go up or down. Some guns in the media like ARs and AKs may decrease a little but it will take time. I find it hard to believe 9mm will go under $10 a box for plinking brass for example, or .223 to go under $5 a box of brass. Just my opinion.
