Toddlers and HD guns? What is really safe?
dino71 replied to JohnnyB's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
You should ask this cop your question. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/news/post-nation/wp/2016/12/24/an-officers-2-year-old-son-dies-after-he-shot-himself-with-his-fathers-gun-police-say/?client=ms-android-verizon -
Hey, fellow Honda nut here too! Welcome and I think in the near future (April 2017) your town will be getting a gun range....

That guy must of graduated from Trump University.

Is that going on all week? I did not see anything in the electronic flyer that they send ever 6 hours.

If anyone is interested in doing a Saturday run of about 5 to 10 miles then let me know. We can even mix it up with some push ups and sit ups ala X-Fit.

Shootin' get together at Range 14 (Ft. Dix)?
dino71 replied to Lambo2936's topic in Events & Meetups
I guess this "shoot meet up" never came to fruition? -
I was just on their website and did not see anything on the calendar. Is this "only" for former/current Marines or is it open to all branches of the US armed forces?

Didn't you just Describe Trump? Except for the bible part.

Here's my 0.02. I bought a brand new computer during the summer of 2010 and when the first the cold day hit I had the same thing happen to my computer. I took it back to Microcenter in Paterson and then tech opened it up and just slightly pressed down on the memory simm's and boom it fired right up. He told me that the MB / SIMM connection can be weird and as little as a 20 F difference in the environment can cause a problem. Its been 6 years and its been working like a champ since that minor fix.

Aren't both of these firearms based primarily on the 1911 design? I thought "1911" was just a design criteria.

My H&K USP .45 and my H&K Mark23, sorry I can't pick between them, they are both awesome.

Buying frenzies during the election season
dino71 replied to always_an_eagle's topic in AR Discussion
Let the tin foil hat people do what they want. Nothing happened when Y2K hit (I used to work with some hard core red-necks back then) and nothing happened when Obama was elected (twice) and nothing is going to happen when Hillary is elected. If anything the thread responses are humorous. I think you should buy a firearm because it's something you really want not because of who's in an elected office, but that's my opinion. I wonder what's going to happen when the next governor of NJ is elected? -
I am going to go out on a limb on this one and say the tool-bag operating the train was playing with his cell phone.

Has a date ever been set for meeting at R-14? -
Does anyone know the status of the new range that's being built in Monroe? I'm almost certain that the owner is a member on here but I have not seen any new news about it.

Target practice on private property

PK90 pretty much hit the nail on the head. There is another site that I use at work all the time http://www.ecode360.com/CL1920 If you need any help navigating it then let me know. -
Reminder - No Knives in Philly
dino71 replied to mipafox's topic in Knives, Blades & Other Edged Instruments
I thought someone posted about NJ knife law being < 4" a while ago on here. -
You're right JM but it was nice to see someone trying to lower the bar to FOX's standards. I'm not a lawyer but I doubt anything will come from this except some positive press for the pro 2A people. It sucks that the press has to twist and warp information to promote sensationalism. If a law was broken I hope they fry her or at least ruin her credibility.

"Gravity" knifes are also illegal in NJ. When I ride my motorcycle I sometimes carry my SOG pocket pliers and it has a small knife in it. I guess I am going to have to hide it in from now on instead of carrying it on my belt. I would never think that Pa would be so stringent with knifes and so open minded about hand guns. -
Hell ya! Who does she think she is FOX News! You left the door open on that one.

This sounds nuts, I never carry a knife but when I go on camping trips in Pa we carry knifes, axs, small saw. Are they going to lock up all the Boy Scouts when they are camping? Aren't you allowed to carry a knife in NJ as long as it's < 4"? This is almost as stupid as PA residents not being allowed to by fireworks! -
I am no car expert but I do own an MGB so I feel for this mans electrical woes. I read about some people having the same problem with English cars and the fix was to add a resistor somewhere before the wire that goes to the gauge. I think the resistor slows down the signal so that the needle doesn't jump around like a Pogo stick. Perhaps an electrical engineer will chime in and comment.
